4. We recommend tha t you use th e integrated wrist res t, as
it is ergo nomically designed to help keep your hands, wrists
and forearms flat. Simpl y snap it onto the front edge of you r
RollerMouse Fre e2.
Getting started
1 .
Plug your RollerMouse Fre e2 into your compute r’s USB
port . Allow your compu ter a moment to automat ically install
it. Your computer may indicate that it has found a new dev ice
and is installing it. This p rocess usually takes 10 to 30
seconds.
2 . Place the ke yboard on top of your Roller Mouse Free2.
The keyb oard’s front edge should be parallel to the
roller bar. Align the scroll wheel w ith the center of the
alphabetical se ction of your keyb oard. (On most
keyboards, thi s will be between the ‘G’ and the ‘H’).
3 . Take a mome nt to evaluate the hei ght and angle of your
keyboard and find the arra ngement that’s most comfortable for
you. The fl atter your wrists, t he better for your body. If you fi nd
the keybo ard is too low, simply add height to your keyboard by
inser ting the keyboar d risers (for hel p, see page 8).

Adjust your keyboard
To achieve the optimal and mos t ergonomic working
positio n with you r hands and wrists as flat as pos sible,
you may nee d to adjust the height of your keyboar d. We’ve
developed keybo ard risers that c an help you achieve the
right hei ght and angle, regardless of yo ur keyboard type.
Use rise r position A if you have a key board with numer ic
keypad . If you have a com pact key board (withou t a numeric
keypad) , use the alter native riser position B located tow ards
the center of yo ur RollerMouse Free2 for a better fit.
To raise the front edge of your keyboard 5 mm, mount the
short r isers direc tly onto the back of your RollerMouse Fre e2.
If you wan t to raise the front edge of you r keyboa rd even
higher, simply m ount the long rise rs on top of the shor t
riser s. If you’d rathe r a flat, yet raise d keyboard simply
flip open the small le g on the back of each long riser of
your RollerMous e Free2 for a better fi t.
You might want to try ou t a number of combinat ions to
find the mos t comfortabl e position for you.

Use the tr iangular cursor speed b utton, located betwe en
your copy a nd paste buttons, to sele ct your cursor speed
and precision. T here are five spee d selections to choose
from ra nging 800 dpi to 160 0 dpi. The string of five lights
over the bu tton indicates the current curs or speed.
You may want to s tart with a low er cursor speed u ntil you
get used to y our RollerMous e Free2.
Quick and easy cursor speed selection
You can adjus t the amount of pres sure required to perfor m a
mouse cl ick. Use the click-force tension slide r located under
your RollerMous e Free2. Simply slide it until you find the
tension that work s best for you.
Some find i t easier to star t with high roller bar tension to
avoid acc idential clickin g while typing . Once familar wi th your
RollerMouse Fre e2, you may find it faster wi th a softer click
(ie. lower roller click force tension) .
Adjust the click response of the rollerbar
If you find you have moved the rollerbar all the w ay to
the left o r right, but you’d l ike to continue movin g your
cursor, don’t worry. Simply for ce the rollerbar slightly
further in your intended di rection until you hear a
gentle cl ick. This activates the end detec tion and the
cursor moves to th e end of the screen. Re lease the
roller bar when the cursor is where you want it.
If you find your curs or is too often out of the rollerbar’s
range, i t may be that your selected cu rsor speed is too
low for the way you work. Simply make the necessary
adjustm ents referred to on the pre vious page.
End detection helps cursor reach everywhere
In most ca ses, there is no ne ed to install a dri ver to
use the se ven pre-progr ammed buttons. But with a
driver it is possible for y ou to custo mize these butto n

from you so your forearms can r est even ly on the table.
Keep your keyboar d low and avo id having your wri sts bent
upwards. Try not to re st your weight only on your wrists.
Use your wr ist rest to help keep your wrists, han ds and
forear ms flat and aligned.

3. With your RollerMo use Free2 correc tly placed in front you,
it is possible for your hands, wrists and forear ms to lie flat
and rela xed. Your elbows will th en naturally fall closer to your
body, which helps your shoulders to relax as well. A centered
body position is more comfor table, thus safe r for your bo dy,
and you can work more ef ficiently. That is why Roller Mouse
Free2 of fers a bet ter way to work.
