ICW
Smart TV Controllers
2-Way Cat5 Control
The ICW Smart TV Controller takes advantage of Smart TV technology by Philips, RCA, and Zenith. Using the Smart TV data port, Smart TV Controllers use the TV's onboard IR sensor, character generator, and controlled channel access to deliver cost-effective network TV and media management.
Compatible with the Contemporary Research ABC Media Retrieval System and iC Commander software, the ICW can be networked with up to 4000 TV and Video Display controllers. For custom systems applications, all Smart TV Controllers and other CR devices can be accessed from a single RS-232 port on an ICC-HE or ICW-HE Head-End Network Controller.
Applications include media distibution and control for educational television systems, theme parks, museums, government facilities, arenas, convention centers, airports and corporate video networks.
V Controls Philips, RCA, and Zenith Smart TVs for cost-effective operation
— Creates on-screen channel labels, messages, text menus, and feedback using TV's onboard character generator
— Receives wireless commands from IC-RC IR remote using TV's IR sensor
— Delivers absolute volume control for level and mute
— Manages channel access by changing the TV's internal available channel list
— Delivers absolute power control with on/off feedback from TV
V Interacts with the Smart TV's internal IR sensors, character generator, and tuner
V Networks with up to 4,000 TVs through the ICC-HE or ICW-HE Head-End Network Controller
— Connects using Category 5 or 3 wiring
— Operates fully compatible with ICC-series units connected over the iCC-Net RF coax network
V Responds to individual and zone commands from a single RS-232 port on the ICC-HE or ICW-HE
V Provides LED feedback for network, control, and operation status
V Restores all operation status after loss of power from data stored in non-volatile memory
V Mounts on the back of the Smart TV for simplified installation and ease of control
