This warranty is not applicable for scratches or normal wear, but only for the electronic circuitry and original boards. The warranty is not applicable if the device has been tampered with or damaged through abuse, mistreatment, neglect, or unreasonable use, or if the original invoice is not included, in which case repairs will be considered beyond the warranty policy.

*1 It becomes a permissible frequency when rewriting of 128KB or less is generated with there no free space.
It is not permissible frequency of “Memory unit”. It is different of actual rewriting longevity depending on the state of operation and the size of the rewriting file.

How to Obtain Service
For replacement or repair, re turn the device freight prepaid, with a copy of the original inv oice. Please obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA) from the CONTEC group office where you purchased before returning any product.
* No product will be accepted by CONTEC group without the RMA number.
Liability
The obligation of the warrantor is solely to repair or replace the product. In no event will the warrantor be liable for any incidental or consequenti al damages due to such defect or consequences that arise from inexper i en c ed usage, misuse, or malfunct ion of this device.
Handling Precautions
WARNING
- Do not modify the product. Doing so may cause fire, electric shock.
- If smoke or abnormal odor is detected, immediately turn off the PC and peripheral devices and unplug the power cables.
- Never touch this product with wet hands. Doing so can short-circuit the product to cause fire, electric shock, and/or failure.
CAUTION
- Use only the mounting screws (M3 x 6) provided with the product. Longer screws may damage the interior of the product.
- This product is the silicon disk drives for PC/AT compatible (DOS/V compliant) IDE hard disk.
- No part of this docu ment may be copied or rep rodu ced in an y form by any means without prior written consent of CONTEC CO., LTD.

- The silicon disk is limited in the number of times they can be written (rewritten) to due to the nature of its memory used. Note that the write life depends on the actual operating conditions.

- The product comes with a protective function that prevents the disk from damaging during an instantaneous stop but this function is not designed to protect data written onto the disk. When protecting data, use it under the condition which has no instantaneously stops.
- This product is not formatted. Please be sure to format before use.
