CONGRATULATIONS
Youhave acquired thelatest micro processorcontrolled thermostat toreduce your heatingbill. It ismade to be very userfriendly and easyto use.
General: TheHD series digitalthermostat is anbattery operated. ForHD-310 & HD-410are possible tosave energy bydecreasing the temperatureto “Eco” tempfor shorter periods.These periods canbe occasional or repeating duringthe day.
Youjust press the , or button andtemperature will temporarydecrease from 20degree to aneconomical “Eco” tempof 16 .
Pre-set: Set Temperature: 20
button: 16 temporary fora period of2 hours button: 16 temporary fora period of4 hours button: 16 temporary fora period of6 hours
The Set(Comfort) temperature of20 andthe Eco temperature of16 aswell asEco periods 2,4,6hours can easilybe changed tofit your ownneed.
The HDseries isbattery operated,and it cantherefore replace anymechanical standards2 wiresthermostat. Please howevernote thatthe maximalresistive load is5A.
Installation:
Noted thatif youconnect thethermostat to a230V system, please makesure thepower isswitched off andthat only a personwith goodelectrical knowledgedoes the installation.
If youhave a mechanicalthermostat connected with2 wires, justtake away theold thermostat andreplace it with HDseries. Connect the2 wires tothe terminals as the Fig.2shows, then putthe batteries inand close the thermostat. Seebelow. If youdon't have aprevious thermostat thatyou wish to replace youmust install a2 wires cableto the heating system. See(Fig.2.1, 2.2,

1. You should placethe thermostat asfollows: ~ 160cm up fromthe floor ona wall withconstant temperature inthe house. (Fig.1) Only oninside walls (Noton a walltowards the outdoor) Not exposedto direct sunlight Not closeto a heater,furnace orventilation outlet. Not ona wall towardsa heater,cooker or furnaceon backside. Not closeto a doortowards the outdoor.
2. Removethe front cover. Unscrew thescrew in thebattery compartment. Remove thefront housing fromthe base. (SeeFig.3.1)

3. Unscrewthe screw inthe protective coverand remove the protectivecover. (SeeFig.3.2)
4. Mountthe base onthe wall andmake sure thehole on the wallis cover bythe base withthe wires comingin through theprotectivecover hole. (SeeFig.3.3) Loss tightensthe screw ofthe terminal blockand installs the wiresinto the terminals.(See Fig.2.1, 2.2,2.3 for which typeof connection youwill be using.)
5. Putthe protective coverback to thebase and lockthe cover withthe screw.
6. Putthe front housingback to thebase and lockthe front housingwith screw.

7. Install2 AAsize batteriesonto thebatteries compartment.
8. Pressthe RESET keyonce and makesure it isworking on initialcondition.
9. Whenthe thermostat isinstalled with thebatteries or
after pressRESET key itworks immediately.
The LCDshows set temperature20 andactual room temperatures.
When thethermostat is connectedand the batteriesare installed itworks immediately.The LCD showsset temp 20 and actual roomtemp.

The thermostathas the followingkeys see (Fig.4.1,4.2):
With thiskey you canturn OFF thethermostat or turnit ON intoNormal mode. Whenthe thermostat isturned OFF.“OFF” will showin the displayand you willsee the room temperature.If the thermostatis in Normalmode, youwillseetheSettempandtheRoomtempinthe display. Youmight want toturn off thethermostat during the summer toavoid any heatingto take place.
