Maintenance
This trap does not involve fogging, pesticides, repellents, citronella, coils or candles. It does not use dangerous or toxic chemicals known to be harmful to humans and the environment. The CEP20 Mosquito Trap uses environmentally friendly methods and is safe to you and your environment.
How do CEP Mosquito Traps Work:
Female biting insects require blood to nourish their eggs. They track down hosts by sensing the carbon dioxide, Ocetanol, moisture and heat from human breath, body odours and colour contrasts. CEP Mosquito traps imitate all of these to attract insects into the trap. Once the insects are close by the fan sucks these inside the trap.
What to expect:
The CEP20 mosquito trap will begin to attract insects immediately, however it may take 6-8 weeks of use to reduce local populations to the point that breeding cycles are interrupted. You may choose to discontinue use of the trap at this point but subsequent re-infestations may occur.

Positioning for the best results
1. Determine the source of insects - they breed in wet and shaded areas.
2. Place the CEP20 between the mosquito source and areas of human activity - as far away from people and
as close to the mosquitos as possible. Attention: Do not place the trap close to people as it attracts not repels mosquitos.
3. Place the trap in a location protected from direct rain and strong wind.
4. Place the trap away from direct sunlight and hang it close to the ground or position directly on the ground
- if hanging do not exceed 40 - 60cm from the ground.
The CEP20 can be used indoors, but we strongly recommend not using the provided attractant as it will attract mosquitos from the outside.
Maintenance
Empty the catch container at least once a week or when necessary. The container is located at the bottom of the CEP20:
Turn the CEP20 OFF Remove the catch container at the bottom of the unit - turn anticlockwise to release Empty the contents and ensure it is clean to maintain sufficient airflow Replace the catch container - turn clockwise to lock Position the trap and it is now ready to use
Important Safety Instructions
1. Always Disconnect the CEP 20 from mains power when cleaning or emptying the container.
2. Never submerge or expose the trap to excess water.

connectors.
4. Do not place the trap in direct sunlight or rain.
5. Keep your fingers away from the fan.
6. Always keep the trap away from children.
Troubleshooting
UV light and fan not working - Ensure the CEP20 is connected to the mains correctly and is switched
on.
The fan is noisy or is blocked - Clean as recommended in “Maintenance”. The UV light is not working - replace with a new one - replacements can be purchased. The trap is on, but does not catch mosquitos - move it to another location and test for at least a
week. Pay extra attention to the positioning of the trap in accordance with our recommendations. Also ensure the trap is no higher than 40-60 cm from the ground and away from direct sunlight and rain.

This Is How It Works
The CEP20 Mosquito Trap uses the most environmentally friendly methods and is safe to you and your environment. It attracts mosquitos and other flying pests using 6 different methods of imitating the human body. Once the insects are in close proximity to the trap, the fan sucks them into the escape free catch container. We recommend emptying the container once a week or more often if required. The supplied Bait attractant imitates human body odours to increase the catch rate by up to 4 times. It will last around 30 days with typical usage and additional cartridges can be purchased. The CEP20 has been designed to reduce mosquito populations. It may take several weeks before the breeding process is broken and the population is under control.
The CEP 20 has not been designed to compete with humans in close proximity e.g. at a barbeque. If you are planning an outdoor event we recommend operating the CEP20 for at least a week before it takes place.
