5. Keep the cord away fro m heated surfaces. Do not pull, twist , or wrap line cord around appliance.

8. Do not use outdoors or op erate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or w here oxygen is being administered.
9. Unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated sur­faces touch eyes or skin.
10. Do not place th e heated unit directly on any
surface while it is hot or plugged in.
11. Never block the air openings of the appliance or place on a soft surfac e such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air o pen­ings free of lint, hair and other debris.
12. Do not use an extension cord with this appli­ance.
13. Do not touch hot surfaces of the applian ce. Use handles or knobs.
14. Do not attempt to touch the housing of your appliance near the barrel, as it is hot w hen in use.
15. Do not use with a voltage converter.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This styler is intended for hous ehold use. Use on Alternating Current (6 0 hertz) only. This unit is de­signed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a saf ety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet , reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, con tact a qualified electrician. Do not attemp t to defeat this safety feature.
GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dried befor e using the styler. Plug the iron into an electr ical outlet. Turn on unit. Allow unit to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The sty ling iron's barrel will get very hot within a few sec onds and should not be placed in contact with t he skin after the styl ing iron has been turned on.
The styler´s 3 unique ultra-high heat temper ature settings and Insta nt Heat technology provide styling versatility for all hair ty pes. If you have fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best re sults. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-cur l hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can var y the iron’s temperature according to your par ticular need!
Temperature Setting Guide
TO CREATE BEACHY WAVES
Separate your hair into three par ts: an upper, middle and a lower segment. Clip the upper two sections of hair out of t he way. Spray the bottom half of hair with s tyling product if desired.
1. Begin with lower segment of hair. Place sections of hair between the wave plates; press and hold for 5–10 seconds.
2. Repeat styling proces s moving down, so waves are continuous.
3. Release middle sections of hair and repeat.
4. Release upper section of hair, star ting two inches from roots and repeat .
5. Let hair cool and break up waves with your fingers to create a softe r look.
6. Tease roots with a comb for added volume.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
This Instant Heat st yler has 3 ultra-high heat tem­perature settings. There is a temperatur e range that’s gentle and safe for every t ype of hair, from the finest to the most resistant , and helps you create the look you want.
UNIFORM HEAT RECOV ERY SYSTEM
Conair’s professional salon standards of engineer­ing provide you with a uniform and improved heat recovery system that maint ains the iron at constant temperatures. There is a const ant surge of power to ensure that heat is continuously and quick ly delivered for optimal styling result s, unlike other units, which lose heat during use. This pr ovides consistent styling power so t hat every strand of your hair is set with the same level of heat and comes out the same way for a perfec t finish.
Never leave your sty ling iron on and unattended. H owever, should you fail to turn the iron off, it will s hut itself off automatically wi thin 60 minutes.
BONUS FEATHER EXTENSION
To insert into hair : Decide the best locati on for the feather, push th e non-slip clip to o pen, put clip at roots a t underneath l ayer of hair so clip will not be visi ble, push clip to snap into place. The exten sion is easy and reusabl e.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your styling iron is virtually maintena nce free. No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and ope nings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning be comes necessary, disconnect the unit from the power s ource, allow to cool and wipe exterior with a clo th. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the unit, a llow it to cool, and return it for repair to an aut horized service representative only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow t he power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely bent. N ever wrap the cord tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur at the high flex point of entry into the a ppliance, caus­ing it to rupture and short circui t. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately i f dam­age is visible or if unit stops or operates in termit­tently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to stor e. Allow appliance to cool, then simply stor e out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do no t jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not w rap the line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord t o hang or lie loose and straight at the p oint of entry into the ap­pliance.
LIMITED FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free of charge for 60 months f rom the date of pur­chase if the appliance is defective in wor kmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warrant y, return the defective product to the ser vice center listed, to­gether with your purchase receipt and $ 7.50 for postage and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and sho uld call 1-800-3-CON AIR for shipping instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the w arranty period shall be 60 months from the date o f manufacture.
