USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condit ion
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an authorized ser vice
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply c ord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the
cord tightly around the appliance. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
appliance, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Sto p
use immediately if damage is visible or if unit
stops or operates intermitten tly.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do no t
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at t he
point of entry into the appliance
.
LIMITED FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 60 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the serv ice center
listed, together with your purchase receipt and
$7.00 for postage and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and
should call 1-800-3-CON AIR for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purcha se
receipt, the warranty period s hall be 60
months from the date of manufacture.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling wand is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) o nly. This
unit is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safet y feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contac t a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat t his safety
feature.
TOURMALINE CERAMIC
EASY-GLIDE BARREL
The barrel of your new curling iron has a
Tourmaline Ceramic Technology easy-glide
surface, the newest technology. This means
it’s not only simpler to clean off styling
product residue, etc., after each use, but you’ll
find that hair glides easily over the surface of
the barrel as you’re curling. The tourmaline
ceramic
surface also helps smooth down
flyaways and frizzies. It evenly distributes heat
so that the style you create has a sal onperfect, silky smooth, shining finish. Hair also
slips right through the barrel after it ’s curled.
The new Tourmaline Ceramic
Technology is a
pleasure to work with and makes styling your
hair easier and the results more professional.
Never leave your curling iron on and
unattended. However, should you fail to turn
the iron off, it will shut itself of f automatically
within 60 minutes.
GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dried
before using the curling wand. Plug the wand
into an electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The Power/
Low 285˚F set ting will become illuminated.
Allow unit to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling wand’s barrel will
get very hot within a f ew seconds and
should not be placed in con tact with the
skin after the cu rling wand has been
turned on.
The wand’s unique 4 heat temperature
settings and Instant H eat technology provide
styling versatility for all hair t ypes. If you have
fine hair, a low temperature will provide the
best results. If you have thick, wavy or
hard-to-curl hair, keep the heat setting on
high. You can vary the wand’s temperature
according to your particular need!

TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use
a light styling
product before
blow-drying hair.

Take a 1-inch wide
section of hair, starting
2 inches from the scalp.

Wind the section
of hair around the thicker
portion of the barrel
toward the cool tip.

Hold the end of the
hair in place at the cool
tip for 5 to 8 seconds,
depending on hair type,
and then release. Since there is no clamp, you
can easily curl hair without kinks. Fo r tighter,
bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose,
free-flowing curls, roll more hair. To set the
curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

Repeat process on additional sec tions of
hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling wand. After using several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
IMPORTANT
A heat-protective glove has been supplied to
help protect your hand from temporar y contact
with the barrel when wrapping t he hair around
the appliance.
Please note that the heat-prote ctive glove is only
designed to give initial contact protection.
Discomfort will be caused by pr olonged contact
with the hot surface.
Never leave your curling wa nd on and
unattended.

El cable de este aparato está do tado de una

El tubo de su rizador está cubierto co n una
capa de cerámica y turmalina increíblemente
suave, lo último en tecnología cerámica. Notará
que el cabello se desliza fácilmente sobre el
tubo y que es muy fácil limpiar el aparato
después de cada uso. El revestimiento de
cerámica/turmalina también ayuda a cont rolar
la estática y el frizz. Distribuye el calor
uniformemente, para crear peinados sedosos y
brillantes, igual que en el salón. Además, no
retiene en cabello después de rizarlo.
Es un placer trabajar con esta nueva
tecnología, pues facilita el peinado y logra
resultados óptimos. Nunca deje el aparato
desatendido después de encenderlo. Para su
seguridad, el aparato se apagará aut o-
máticamente después de 60 minutos.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe el
aparato. Encienda el aparato. La luz de
encendido/bajo (285˚F ) se encenderá. Permita
que el aparato caliente durante 30 segundos.
ADVERTENCIA: E l tubo se volverá muy
caliente en segundos. Evite todo contacto
con la piel después de en cender el aparato.
Este aparato ofrece 4 opciones de
temperatura, para todo tipo de cabello. Si su
cabello es fino, le recomendamos que utilice
un nivel de temperatura bajo. Si su cabello es
espeso, grueso, ondulado o resistente, le
recomendamos que utilice un nivel de
temperatura alto. ¡Personalice la temperatura
según su tipo de cabello!

de 1 pulgada (2.5 cm).

pulgadas (5cm) del cuero

midad del mismo.

Sostenga el
cabello por las puntas
durante 5 a 8 segundos (según el tipo de
cabello), y luego desenrolle delicadamente el
cabello. Siempre obtendrá hermosos resultad os,
fácil y rápidamente. Para obtener rizos más
apretados, divida el cabello en secciones más
finas. Para obtener ondas más suelt as, enrolle
secciones más gruesas. Permita que el c abello
enfríe antes de peinarlo para "fijar" lo s rizos.

Repita el proceso con las otr as secciones
de cabello. Será necesario experimentar un
poco al principio. Con práctica, enc ontrará la
manera perfecta para r izar su cabello fácil y
rápidamente.
IMPORTANTE
Incluimos un "guante" aislante para proteger su
mano al enrollar el cabello alrededor del tubo.
Sin embargo, tenga presente que este "guante"
no ha sido diseñado para proporcionar una
protección duradera. El con tacto prolongado con
