How to Get Started Streaking Strands with Quick Colour
Your Hair: Hair must be clean, dry, conditioned and completely free of knots and tangles.
The unit will not work with wet or tangled hair. The Brush: The application brush must also be clean and dry. If not, wash it with soap and water. Wait for it to dry before use. A wet or dirty brush will not apply the colour properly. The Colours: Be sure the colour tray in your brush head has a new colour cartridge inside. If not, replace it with a new cartridge. Colour cartridges will dry out if not stored properly after use. NOTE: For replacement colours, order from Conair Customer Service. The phone number and addresses are at the bottom of the poster.
The Application:
1. Remove the colour cartridge from the sealed colour tray. 2 After removing the cover, insert the new colour cartridge into the colour
cartridge slot (Fig. 1). Slide it between the locator slots, with the exposed colour side facing toward the brush applicator.
3. Hold the colouring tool in one hand, making sure that you are holding the unit properly, following the “This Side Up” position; otherwise hair may get tangled.
4. Push up the large button on the tool to open the hair holder (Fig. 2).
5. Select a small strand of hair approximately 20mm wide (3/4") and place it in the holder, grabbing hair near the scalp (Fig. 3).
6. Make sure hair sits flat and is evenly spread out in the holder.
7. Make sure the brush points downward and the label is facing you.
8. Now hold the hair strand from the end, pulling it taut and gently out and away from the scalp.
9. Press the button down to turn the colouring tool on (Fig. 4).
10. Slowly slide the tool down the hair strand, without releasing tension. (The slower you move it down through your hair, the bolder the colour will be.)
11. When you get to the end of the hair strand, turn it off.
12. Use touch-up brush for root area where necessary – simply brush colour into desired area.
The Process:
1. If hair becomes tangled while using the tool, release the ‘on’ button and gently remove hair from the unit.
2. Never stop drawing the colouring tool down the hair strand while it is switched on.
3. Never force the unit through the hair.
4. The hair colour goes on almost dry and should dry completely within 15 minutes after it is applied.
5. Combing through hair after applying the colour will separate coloured hair strand for a more subtle, almost natural, effect.
6. The colours are temporary and should not be worn when swimming, working out, or in the rain, as they will wash out. Do not wear a hat with hair colour as it may rub off.
7. Store the colour cartridges properly into the tray so they won’t dry up. Make sure you place the lid on the colour cartridge to preserve colour and store it back into the main tray.
The Tool Cleanup:
1. Remove the brush applicator and head.
2. Wash with warm water and soap and let dry.
3. Be sure they are completely dry before next use.
The Colour Wash-off:
1. To remove colour, simply wash with clarifying shampoo twice.
2. If colour comes in contact with your clothes or bedding, it can easily be removed by washing with ordinary detergent.
INGREDIENTS: Water, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Stereate, Isobutylene/MA Copolymer, Polyquaternium-28, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Methylparaben. May contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, FD&C Blue No.1 AI. Lake, D&C Red No. 7 Cal. Lake, Iron Oxides.

head and keeping the colours from drying out (described above).
2. No lubrication is needed.
