INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Curre nt (60 hertz)
only. Standard Dryers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarize d plug (one blade
is wider than the other). A s a safety feature,
this plug will fi t in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fi t fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still do es not fi t, contact
a qualifi ed electrician. Do not at tempt to defeat this safety feature.

Use of this dryer on the same cir cuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances
may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a
15 amp fuse. NEVER replace the fuse w ith
one rated higher than the capacity of the
circuit. Doing so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFET Y FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an A ppliance
Leakage Circuit Interr upter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inop erable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the foll owing test. The purpose of thi s test is to all ow you to make sur e
the water sensing system (A LCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test bu tton
on plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. T here will
be an audible click and reset but ton will pop
out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset b utton, unit should
be unplugge d. Then push r eset butt on in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest se rvice center.
5. It is important that if immer sion occurs,
this unit be brought to a ser vice center. Do
not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use
the unit to confi rm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go of f and the reset button pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Rem ove plug from
outlet and allow the appliance t o cool. Reinsert
plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, re turn to an aut horized Con air Servic e
Center for evaluation and repair.

Your best looks begin with a good hairc ut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair r ight with
superior quality shamp oos, conditioners, and
fi n i s h i n g p r o d u c t s .
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroug hly. Towel dry
hair to remove excess moisture. U sing the
dryer along with your st yling brush, start at
a lower setting and direct hot ai r through a
section of hair at a time. Move dryer s teadily
across each section so t hat the hot air passes through hair. Direct air fl ow at hair not scalp.
Clouds of negatively charged ions will help to
reduce static electricity, control frizzy fl yaways
and contribute to your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake ven ts unobstructed
and free from hair while drying .
3. To avoid over drying, do not concentra te
heat on any one section for any leng th of time.
Keep dryer moving as you sty le.
4. For quick touch ups, bet ween shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of w ater before styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to cr eate curls and
waves, dry hair almost c ompletely on a warmer temperature setting, then fi nish styling with
Cool Shot feature to clos e hair shaft and lock
in style.

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso profesional.
Úselo solamente con Corr iente Alterna (60
hertzios). Los secadores estándares están
diseñados para funcionar con C orriente Alterna

PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD
ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage
Circuit Interrupter), el cual apaga el secador
en caso de que ocurran situacion es anormales,
por ejemplo si el aparato caiga al agu a. Haga
la prueba siguiente para asegurar se que el
sistema de detección de agua funcione
correctamente.
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete e l botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más a bajo).
2. El apara to dejará de f uncionar, se oir á un
clic y el botón de reajuste sa ltará.
3. Para reajustar el enchu fe, asegúrese que
el aparato esté desenchufado, luego apriete
el botón de reajuste y vuelva a en chufar el
aparato.
5. Si el aparato cae al agua, es muy impo rtante

FUNDAMENTOS DEL SE CADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los
productos de su elección. Enjuáguelo bien.
Séquelo con una toalla para eliminar el exceso
de agua. Divida el cabello en secciones.
Usando el secador y un cepillo de mo delado
simultáneamente, dirija el flujo de aire caliente
hacia cada sección. Mueva el cepillo y el
secador simultáneamente hacia l as puntas,
lentamente y uniformemente, dirigiendo el
flujo de air e hacia el cab ello, no hacia el cuero
cabelludo. Su secador genera una n ube de
iones negativos que ayudan a re ducir la

encrespamiento y los pelos sueltos, y agregar

2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo
déjelo enfriar y saque el polvo y las pe lusas
de las aberturas de air e con un cepillo pequeño
o el cepillo accesorio de una aspira dora. La
superficie exterior del secador sólo se debe
limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si l as aberturas
de aire están bloqueadas u o bstruidas. En
tal caso, un sistema de segurida d automático
apagará el secador o cortará la temperatura
para evitar daños o lesiones per sonales. Si
esto sucede, desenchufe el aparato y deje
que se enfríe de 10 a 15 minutos antes de
encenderlo de nuevo. Asegúrese que la s
ventilaciones de aire están limpias .
PRECAUCIÓN
NNUNCA jale, retuerza ni do ble mucho el
cable eléctrico. Nunca lo enr olle con fuerza

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenan ce free. No
lubrication is needed. For prop er operating
performance, the drye r must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint f rom air
intake openings with a small brush o r the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer sh ould be wiped clean
with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage
or personal injury. If the unit or th e heat turns
off, unplug the cord and allow t he dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clea n.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power sup ply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high fl ex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and shor t. Inspect
the cord frequently for d amage. Stop use im-
mediately if damage is visible or unit stops
or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged o r does not
operate properly, return it f or repair to an
authorized Conair service representative
only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE - Import ant
When not in u se, your drye r should be dis con-
nected, allowed to cool and s tored in a safe,
dry location, out of reac h of children. Do not
wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at t he point
of entry into the dryer.

your unit free of charge for 36 months from
the date of purchase if the appliance is defec-
tive in workmanship or materials.

your purchase receipt and $7.00 for pos tage
and handling. California resident s need only
provide proof of purchase a nd should call 1-
800-366-0937 for shipping instructions. In
the absence of a purchase receip t, the war-
ranty period shall be 36 months from the date
of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRAN TIES, OBLIGATIONS,
OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIM-
ITED TO THE IMPLIED WARR ANTY OF MER-
CHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PAR-
TICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED IN
DURATION TO THE 36 MONTH DURATION OF
