ONTAINS NICKEL CADMIUM BATTERY. MUST BE COLLECTED, RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY. DO NOT DISPOSE OF IN THE MUNICIPAL WASTE.
Bring the batteries with the handle of the trimmer to the nearest collection center for proper disposal. DO NOT throw the battery into the normal municipal waste system.
TYPES OF BEARDS/MUSTACHES
GROWING A BEARD OR MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that determine which beard or mustache style is most suitable for your face:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2.
The natural growth of your beard/mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache. If you are unsure of the type of beard or mustache that most suits your face, speak with a
professional hair stylist and ask for an opinion on what style would be best. Once your beard or mustache has been styled, it is essential that you maintain its appearance. To do this, use your shaper to trim your beard/mustache weekly.
For the best trimming results, your beard should be slightly damp (not wet) before using the trimmer. This will prevent the trimmer from removing more hair than desired.
CAUTION
Do not immerse any part of the charging stand or the adapter in water.
Do not try to plug the adapter into an AC outlet while your hands are wet.
The outer foil and inner blades of the shaver are delicate and must be handled very carefully.
The foil of the shaver head is extremely thin and precision crafted. Do not push on the foil when inserting the trimmer into the charging stand.
GETTING STARTED
TO SWITCH TRIMMER HEADS
Hold the trimmer handle with the back of the trimmer facing you.
With your other hand; twist the head counter clockwise, then puling straight away ( Fig. 1)
Attach another head by inserting it down on top, align the triangle on the trimmer head with the circle on the side of the handle and turn clockwise until the dot is aligned (Fig. 2).

TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start with a clean, slightly
damp mustache.
2. Comb through your mustache in the direction
it grows.
3. Place the 5-position comb over the trimmer
blades and snap it into position. It is a good idea to start with the longest trim setting adjustment. (You can always go back and cut your mustache more closely with a shorter setting.)
ALWAYS TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
FROM THE TOP DOWN
After your mustache has been trimmed to the desired length, remove the 5-position comb and, using the blades only, define the outline of the bottom of your mustache.
USING THE SCRIBE BLADE
The scribe blade is used for fine detailing of your facial hair. After trimming the hair to the desired length, us the scribe blade to make fine line details, the narrow blade width is perfect for detailing under your lips or along the jaw line
1. Attach the scribe blade head
2. Move the ON/OFF switch to the on position
3. Press the tip of the scribe blade against your skin and move the blade to create the desired detail to your facial hair.
4. When finished detailing, move the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
5. Use the supplied brush to clean away hairs.
6. Return the trimmer to the charging stand in between uses
USING THE SHAVER
ATTACHMENT
Attach the foil shaver head. Turn unit on. Gently press the foil head against your skin where you want to completely shave the skin clean. Gently pull your skin taught and move the shaver in a circular motion over your skin.
When you are finished, or if you have a lot of stubble to remove, press the release buttons on the side of the shaver head and gently pull the foil assembly off. Clean the cutter and foil using the brush. Reattach the foil head.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR TRIMMER
BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision made for a very special use, they should always be handled with care. Each time you finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning brush provided and brush away any loose hair that has collected in the blades. Then store the trimmer in its storage stand until the next use.
To promote the long life of the appliance, use your trimmer only for the purpose intended by the manufacturer.
Each week drop a small amount of oil on the beard trimmer blades and turn the trimmer on for a few seconds. Wipe any excess oil off the housing.
To clean the shaver blade and foil:
1. Press both foil frame release button (Fig. 3). Then remove the shaver head (the cutter is now in view). Be careful not to push on the foil. It is delicate and can easily be damaged.

TROUBLESHOOTING
T
here are several things to look for if your trim-
mer fails to operate:
1. Be sure the trimmer is turned ON.
2. Check if trimmer head is properly placed and aligned.
3. Check the blades to see if they are clogged with hair clippings; if so, use the cleaning brush to remove hair.
4. If the trimmer still fails to operate, take or send it to a Conair Service Center (see warranty procedure and addresses).
If your rechargeable trimmer does not seem to be taking a charge, take the following troubleshooting steps before returning it for repair:
1. Be sure the electrical outlet is working, by plugging in another appliance to test it.
2. Make sure the electrical plug is not connected to a switch which turns power off when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure you have inserted the trimmer properly into the charging stand, that all connections are secure, and that the trimmer switch is in the “OFF” position.
Do not attempt to charge this unit with the switch in the “ON” position. It can damage your unit and the unit will not charge.

OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
1. It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp beard.
2. After you have combed through your beard in the direction it grows naturally, you will want to outline the desired shape, beginning under your jawline.
3. Attach the beard trimmer head. Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and work upward on each side of your face toward your ears. Then define the upper outline of your beard across your cheeks, past your sideburns and toward your hairline.
NOW YOU’RE READY
TO TRIM YOUR BEARD
1. To use the 5-position comb, slide it over the trimmer blades and snap down into position. (There is an indentation on the back of the trimmer head. Make sure foot of the attachment comb is snapped into that opening. If it isn’t, then the comb will move). At first, until you become familiar with the adjustments, use the longest comb and trim setting. (You can always go back and make your beard a little shorter.)
2. Begin trimming your beard using smooth, even strokes. Start with your sideburns and work downward toward your chin. (Never attempt to trim against the natural growth of your beard, because the hair will be cut too short.)
3. If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5-position comb to a shorter setting and go over your beard again until you achieve the desired length.
Page 8
2. Clean the cutter and the surrounding with the brush provided. Rinse the shaver foil frame under running water. Do not use hot water. Use only warm or cold water.
3. After wet cleaning, allow the foil frame to airdry before closing foil frame. Be sure to align both the triangles on the foil frame and on the head when clicking into place.
4. The cutter can also be cleaned with warm or cold water by taking it out from its holder (Fig. 4).
5. Hold the cutter firmly and guide it gently into the cutter mount (Fig. 5). Press firmly until the
cutter snap into place. Caution: make sure you do not lose the little spring under the cutter.
6. Replace the foil frame with the triangles on the foil frame and the shaver head aligned (Fig. 6) NOTE: to maintain good shaving performance, replace the foil every 8 months.
