TIME YOU USE APPLIANC E.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage C ircuit Interrup ter (ALCI ), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following tes t. The purpose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (A LCI) is working.
1. Plug in the ap pliance and pr ess test but ton
on plug (See appropriate diagr am below).
2. The appl iance will sto p working. Th ere will
be an audible click and reset button will pop
out.
3. To reset AL CI with a res et button , unit should
be unplugge d. Then push r eset butto n in, and
reinsert plug into outlet .
4. If ALCI i s not functio ning proper ly, return
appliance to nearest ser vice center.
5. It is impor tant that if immer sion occurs,
this unit be brought to a ser vice center. Do
not try to reset.
6. Be sure to r epeat test every time you use
the unit to confirm ALC I is operational.
Should the a ppliance go off and the r eset button pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the appliance to cool. Reinser t
plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, ret urn to an aut horized Cona ir Service
Center for evaluation and re pair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best loo ks begin with a good hairc ut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition ha ir with produ cts
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blot
hair to remove excess moisture. Using the
dryer along with your styling brush, start at
a lower set ting and direc t hot air through a
section of h air at a time. Mo ve dryer stea dily
across eac h section so t hat the hot air passes through hair. Direct air flow at hair not scalp.
Clouds of ne gatively cha rged ions will h elp to
reduce st atic electr icity, cont rol frizzy flyaways
and contribute to your hair ’s shine.
2. Keep dry er’s air intak e vents unobs tructed
and free from hair while dry ing.
3. To avoid over dr ying, do not concentrate
heat on any o ne section fo r any length o f time.

4. For quick touch ups, between shampoos,
dampen hair w ith a mist of wa ter before s tyling with the dryer.

IMPORTANTE

con el mismo fusible que otros aparatos podría

PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD

Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage
Circuit Interrupter), que apaga el aparat o
inmediatamente si éste cayera al agua. Hag a
la prueba siguiente para asegurarse que el
sistema de detección de agua funcione

1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de

2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un
clic y el botón de reajuste salt ará.

GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEIN ADO

cabello con champúes, acondicionadores y

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the c ord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake ope nings with a sm all brush or t he brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean
with a cloth only.
Blocked o r clogged air intake ven ts will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage
or persona l injury. If th e unit or the hea t turns
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before rest arting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.

pulled, tw isted, or seve rely bent. N ever wrap

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mante nerlo limpio. Cuando
sea necesario limpiarlo, desconéctelo, permita
que enfríe y saque el polvo y las pelusas de
las aberturas de aire con un cepillo pequeño
o el cepillo accesorio de una aspiradora. La
superficie exterior del secador sólo se debe
limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalent ará si las abe rturas de
aire estuvieran bloqueadas u obstruidas. Si
esto ocurriera, un sistema de segur idad apagará
el secador o cortará la temperatura
automáticamente para evitar daños al aparato
o heridas. Si esto sucediera, desenchufe el
aparato y permita que enfríe durante 10 a 15
minutos antes de encenderlo de nuevo.
Asegúrese que las ventilaciones de aire estén
limpias.
