1. Always unplug appliance immediately after
using.

2. Do not use while bathing.

3. Do not place or store appliance where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or other
liquid.

5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

1. This appliance should never be left unattended
when plugged in.

5. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly or if it has been dropped or damaged, or
dropped into water. Return the appliance to an
authorized service center for examinatio n and
repair.

6. Keep the cord away from heated surf aces.

7. Never use while sleeping.

8. Never drop or insert any object in to any
opening or hose.

9. Do not use outdoors or opera te where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where ox ygen
is being administered.

10. Unit is hot when in use. Do not let eyes or
bare skin touch heated surfaces .

11. Do not place the heated unit directly on any
surface while it is hot or plugged in.

12. Never block the air openings of the appliance
or place on a soft surface such a s a bed or
couch, where any air openings may be blocked.
Keep the air opening free of lint and other debris.

13. Do not use an extension cord with this
appliance.

14. Do not touch hot surfaces of the applian ce.
Use handles or knobs.

15. Do not attempt to touch the housing o f your
appliance near the barrel, as it is hot when in
use.

16. While emitting steam, this curling iron may
cause burns if it is used too closely to the skin, scalp
or eyes, or if it is used incorrectly.

17. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water
emitting from steam vents, test curling iron
before each use by holding it away from body
and operating steam button.

INSTRUCTIONS

This curling appliance is intended for
household use. Use on Alternating Current
(50/60 hertz) only.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the out­let, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.

DUAL VOLTAGE

This curling iron will automatically adjust to
the proper voltage. Use an adapter plug with
correct configuration prior to use in outlet.

GETTING STARTED

The iron’s 30 temperature settings and instant
heat technology combine to provide styling ver­satility for all hair textures. If you have fine hair,
a low temperature will provide the best results.
If you have thick, wavy or coarse hair, keep the
heat setting high. You can vary the iron’s tem­perature according to your particular need!

CURLING BASICS

1. Plug the curling iron cord into any household
outlet (120/240V). Press On button (light will
indicate unit is on). The iron will heat up very
quickly. To turn off, press Off button (light will
go off).

Never leave your curling iron on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the iron off, it will
shut itself off automatically within
60 minutes.

2. Section dry hair evenly, and comb each sec­tion before winding. Pressing the automatic curl
release, place curling iron midway up the hair
section, then spread hair evenly between spoon
and barrel. Release automatic curl release to
hold hair in place. Gently slide curling iron down
to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends, make sure
they are securely wound under the spoon in the
direction of the desired curl.

HOW TO FILL THE WATER RESERVOIR

1. Remove water reservoir cap in order to fill.

2. Fill reservoir with water.

3. Place cap back onto unit making sure water is
not leaking out.

NOTE: Fully immerse the wick and wick holder
in water for at least 15 seconds before use.

STEAM MIST FEATURE

1. This curling iron has a continuous steam mist
feature. To activate steam mist feature, first fill
the reservoir with distilled water before turning
the unit on. Do not add water while appliance
is on.

2. Once water reservoir is filled, turn unit on and
select desired temperature setting.

3. Water will heat up and gentle mist will slowly
be emitted.

4. Curl hair.

5. After use, empty water from reservoir.

6. To use iron without mist feature, simply
use iron without water in reservoir. If there is
already water in reservoir, unplug iron, allow to
cool, and then empty reservoir.

Remember, always place the spoon above the
hair strand when making a curl you want rolled
under; place the spoon under the hair strand
when making a flip style.

3. Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled,
being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp.
Hold in place for 8-12 seconds depending on the
texture and length of your hair. For tighter, bouncier
curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll
more hair.

4. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair and
press the automatic curl release. To “set” the
curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.

5. A bonus protective heat shield has been in clud­ed to safely store product away when hot. Great
for use at home or when traveling. Do not le ave
unit plugged in when not in use.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your curling iron is virtually maintenance-free. N o
lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings
clear of dirt and dust. If clea ning becomes
necessary, disconnect the unit from the p ower
source, allow to cool and wipe exterior wit h a
cloth. If any abnormal condition occur s, unplug the
unit, allow it to cool, and return it fo r repair to an
authorized service representative only. No repairs
should be attempted by the consumer.

CAUTION

NEVER allow the p ower supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wr ap
the cord tightly around the appliance. D amage
will occur at the high flex point of entry in to the
appliance, causing it to rupture and sho rt
circuit. Inspect the cord fr equently for damage.
Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if
unit stops or operates intermittently.

STORAGE

When not in use, your appliance is easy to st ore.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply stor e out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. D o not
jerk or strain cord at plug connect ions. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. A llow the
cord to hang or lie loose and straigh t at the point
of entry into the appliance.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 24 months from the date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.

To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service cen ter listed
below that is nearest you, together with your
purchase receipt and $3.00 fo r postage and
handling. California resident s need only provide
proof of purchase and should call
1-800-3-CON AIR for shipping instructions. In the
absence of a purchase receipt, the warra nty
period shall be 24 months from
the date of manufacture.
