USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling wand is virtually maintenance-free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes
necessary, disconnect the unit from the power
source, allow to cool and wipe exterior with a
cloth. If a ny abnormal condition occur s, unplug
the unit, allow it to cool, and return it for repair
to an authorized service representative only. No
repairs should be attempted by t he consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high flex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspec t the
cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately
if damage is visible or if unit stops or operates
intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow app liance to cool, t hen simply store o ut of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not
jerk or strain cord at plug connections. Do not
wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and st raight at the
point of entry into the app liance.
LIMITED FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair w ill repair or repla ce (at our option) y our
unit free of charge for 60 months from th e date
of purchase if the appliance is defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed on back, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.00 for postage and handling.

Su aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No
necesita lubricación. Mantenga todas las aberturas

GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dried before
using the curling wand. Plug the wand into an
electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The Power/Low
285˚ F setting wil l become illuminat ed. Allow unit
to heat up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling wand’s barre l will get
very ho t within a few seconds and should not
be placed in contact with the skin after the
curling wand has been turned on.
The wand’s unique 5 ultra-high heat temperature
settings and Inst ant Heat technology p rovide
styling versatility for all hair types. If you have
fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick , wavy or hard-to-curl
hair, keep the heat setting on high. You can var y
the wand’s temperature according to your
particular need!

TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use a light styling product
before blow-drying hair.

Take a 1-inch wide s ection of hair, st arting
2-inches from the scalp.

Wind the section of hair around the thicker
portion of the barr el towards the cool tip.

Hold the e nd of the hair in pl ace at the cool
tip for 5 to 8 seconds depending on hair type,
and then release. No clamp allows you to eas ily curl hair without kinks. For tighter, bouncier
curls, roll less hair. For loose, free flowing curls,
roll more hair. To "set" the curl, do not comb or
brush hair until it cools.

Repeat process on additional sect ions of
hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.
Some experience is necessary when learning
to use this curling wand. After using several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
IMP ORTAN T
A hea t protective glove has been supplied to
help prot ect your le ft fingers from temporary
contact with the barrel when wrapping the hair
around the appliance.
Please note that the heat protective glove is only
designed t o give initial contact protection.
Discomf ort will be cau sed with prol onged contac t
with the hot surface.
Never leave your curling wand on and
unatt ended. Howe ver, should you f ail to turn
the wan d off, it will s hut itself off automa tically
within 60 minutes.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safe ty
feature.

Para lograr resultados óptimos, a plique una
loción fijadora ligera sobre el cabello antes de

Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamen te
con Corriente Alterna (60 Hz) de 120 voltios
(120V AC).
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha que
otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en la toma de
corriente polarizada. Si no entrara en la toma
de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no entrara
completamente, comuníquese con un electricista .
No intente ir en contra de esta función de
seguridad.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe el
aparato. Encienda el aparato. La luz de encen-
dido/bajo (285 ˚F) se encenderá. Permita que
el aparato caliente durante 3 0 segundos.
ADVERTENCIA: El tubo se volverá muy c ali-
ente en segundos. Evite todo contacto con
la piel después de en cender el aparato.

Empezando a 2 pulgadas (5 cm) de la raíz,
enrolle el cabello alrededor del tubo hacia la
extremidad.

Sostenga el cabello por las puntas durante
5 a 8 segundos (según el tipo de cabello), y
luego desenrolle delicadamente el cabello. Siem-
pre obtendrá hermosos resultados, fácil y
rápidame nte. Para obte ner rizos más ap retados,
divida el cabello en secciones más finas. Para
obtener ondas más sueltas, enrolle se cciones
más gruesas. Permita que el cabello enfríe an-
tes de peinarlo para "fijar" los rizos.

Repita el proceso con cada sección de ca-
bello. Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para rizar su cabello fácil y rápida-
mente.
