USER MAINTENANCE
Your curling wand is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings
clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes ne cessary,
disconnect the unit from the power source, allow
to cool and wipe exterior with a cloth. I f any abnormal
condition occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool,
and return it for repair to an authorized ser vice
representative only. No repairs should be attempted
by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the p ower supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the appliance, causing
it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord
frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if
damage is visible or if unit stops or operates
intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then simply store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not jerk
or strain cord at plug connections. D o not wrap the
line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord to
hang or lie loose and straight at the point o f entry
into the appliance.
LIMITED FIVE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit
free of charge for 60 months f rom the date of purchase if the appliance is defective in wor kmanship
or materials.
To obtain service under this warrant y, return the
defective product to the ser vice center listed on
back, together with your purcha se receipt and $7.50
for postage and handling. California residents need
only provide proof of purchase and should call
1-800-3-CON AIR for shipping instructions. In the
absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be 60 months from the d ate of manufacture.

INSTRUCCIONES

Su aparato requiere poco mantenimiento. No necesita

GETTING STARTED
Hair should be clean and completely dried befo re
using the curling wand. Plug the wand into an electrical outlet. Turn on unit. The Power/L ow 285˚F
setting will become illuminated. Allow unit to hea t
up for 30 seconds.
WARNING: The curling wan d’s barrel will get very
hot within a few sec onds and should not come
into contact wi th the skin after the curl ing wand
has been turned on . Make sure to use the heat
protective glo ve while styling to prevent co ntact
with heat.
The wand’s unique high heat temperature sett ings
and Instant Heat technolo gy provide styling versatility
for all hair types. If you have fine hair, a low
temperature will provide the best results. If you
have thick, wavy or hard-to-cur l hair, keep the heat
setting on high. You can vary the wan d’s temperature
according to your particular need!
Temperature Setting Guide
TO CURL HAIR
For best results, use
a light styling
product before
blow-drying hair.

Take a ½ to 1-inch
wide section of hair,
starting 2 inches from
the scalp.
2
Wind the section of
hair around the thicker
portion of the barrel
toward the cool tip.
3
Hold the end of the
hair in place at the cool
tip for 5 to 10 seconds,
depending on hair type, and then release. Since
there is no clamp, you can easily curl hair
without kinks. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll
less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more
hair. To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair
until it cools.

Repeat process on additional sec tions of
hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.
Some experience is necessary when learning to
use this curling wand. After using it several
times, you will learn the ideal way to curl and
style your hair.
IMPORTANT
A heat-protective glove has been supplied to help
protect your left-hand finger s from temporary contact
with the barrel when wrapping t he hair around the
appliance.
Please note that the heat-prote ctive glove is designed
to give only initial contact protection. Discomfort
will be caused with prolonged cont act with the hot
surface.
Never leave your curling wa nd on and unattended.
However, should you fail to tur n the wand off,
it will shut itself off automatically within 60
minutes.

This curling wand is intended for household use.
Use on Alternating Curr ent (60 hertz) only. This unit
is designed to be operated at 120V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a saf ety feature, this plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, rever se the plug. If it
still does not fit, contac t a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to defeat this sa fety feature.

to gently grip hair and guide it over the barrel to

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
El cabello debe estar limpio y seco. Enchufe el
aparato. Encienda el aparato. L a luz de encendido/
bajo (285˚F) se e ncenderá. Permita que el aparato
caliente durante 30 segundos.
ADVERTENCIA : el tubo se pone muy caliente e n
segundos. Evite e l contacto con la piel despu és
de encender el aparato. Cerciórese de usar el

Este aparato ofrece va rias opciones de temperatura
ultra-altas, para to do tipo de cabello, y calienta

recomendamos que utilice un nivel de temperatur a
bajo. Si su cabello es espeso, grueso, ondulado o
resistente, le recomendamos que utilice el nivel de

CÓMO RIZAR EL CABELLO
Para lograr resultados óp timos, aplique una
loción fijadora ligera sobre cabello antes de
secarlo.

Divida el cabello en secciones de
½–1 pulgada (1.5–2.5 cm). Agarre una sección
de cabello, empezando a
2 pulgadas (5 cm) de la
cabeza.

Enrolle el cabello
alrededor
del tubo hacia la
extremidad.

Sostenga el cabello
por las puntas durante
5–8 segundos (según el
tipo de cabello), y
luego desenrolle
delicadamente el
cabello. Siempre obtendrá

obtener rizos más apretados y elást icos, divida
el cabello en secciones más finas. Para obt ener

Permita que el cabello enfríe antes de peinarlo

IMPORTANTE
