OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard dryers are designed to operate at 110 to
125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with
other electrical products or appliances may trip
a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace th e fuse with one rated higher
than the capacity o f the circuit. Doing so
could result in an elec trical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE
EVERY TIME YOU USE DRYER
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the following test. The purpose of this test is to
allow you to make sure the water sensing system
(ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug.
2. The appliance will stop working. There will
be an audible click and the reset button will
pop out. This indicates the ALCI is functioning
properly.
3. To reset ALCI, unit should be unplugged. Then
push reset button in and reinsert plug into
outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate
a malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the hair dryer to cool. Reinsert
plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, return it to an authorized Conair Service
Center for examination and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and finishing
products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of
your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-dry hair
to remove excess moisture. Section hair. Using
the dryer along with your styling brush, direct
hot air through one section of hair at a time.
Move dryer steadily across each section so that
the hot air passes through hair. Direct airflow at
hair, not scalp.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over-drying, do not concentrate heat
on any one section for any length of time. Keep
dryer moving as you style.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before
styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a
warmer temperature setting, then finish
styling with cool shot feature to close hair shaft
and lock in style.

To create extra volume, turn
head upside down while

Para uso doméstico solamente. Utilícelo
solamente con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este
aparato ha sido diseñado para funcionar con
corriente de 110 V a 125 V AC.
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha
que la otra). Como medida de seguridad, se
podrá enchufar de una sola manera en la
toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entra en
la toma de corriente, inviértala. Si aun así no
entra completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.

PRUEBE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CONTROL
DE POTENCIA ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un interruptor de
control de potencia (ALCI, por sus siglas en
inglés) que apaga el aparato inmediatamente si
este cae al agua.
Haga la prueba siguiente antes de cada uso
para asegurarse de que el interruptor de control
de potencia y el sistema de detección de agua
funcionen debidamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba.
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar. Se oirá un clic
y el botón de reinicio saltará; esto significa
que el interruptor de control de potencia está
funcionando debidamente.
3. Para reajustar el interruptor de control de
potencia, desconecte el aparato, oprima el
botón de reinicio y vuelva a conectar el cable.
4. Si el interruptor de control de potencia no
funciona correctamente, regrese el aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato se cae al agua, es muy
importante que lo regrese a nuestro centro de
servicio; no intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el interruptor de control de potencia
antes de cada uso para comprobar que está
funcionando correctamente.
Si el aparato se apagara y el botón de reinicio
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar
un mal funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera,
desconecte el aparato y permita que se
enfríe. Luego, vuelva a conectar el cable a la
toma de corriente.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. De
no ser así, regréselo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su revisión y reparación.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un corte
de cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide
su cabello con champús, acondicionadores y
productos de peinado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los
productos deseados. Enjuague bien. Séquelo
con una toalla para eliminar el exceso de
agua. Divida el cabello en secciones. Seque el
cabello usando simultáneamente el secador
y un cepillo. Coloque el cepillo debajo de
cada sección de cabello y dirija el flujo de
aire caliente hacia la parte superior del
cabello. Mueva el cepillo y el secador lenta
y simultáneamente hasta las puntas. Dirija
el flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el
cuero cabelludo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato sin
obstrucciones y libres de cabello.
3. Para evitar el daño por calor, no concentre
el flujo de aire en una sección solamente;
mueva el secador constantemente.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes
de secarlo.
5. Cuando usa el secador para crear rizos y
ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando aire tibio, y luego fije el peinado
usando aire frío.

USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating performance, the dryer must be kept clean. Blocked or
clogged air intake vents will cause the dryer
to overheat. When cleaning is needed, unplug
the cord, allow to cool, and clean dust and lint
from air intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean with a
cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause
the dryer to overheat. If overheating occurs, an
automatic safety device will shut the dryer or the
heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If
the unit or the heat cycles off, unplug the cord and
allow the dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before
restarting. Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the dryer, causing
it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord
frequently for damage. Stop use immediately
if damage is visible or unit stops or operates
intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not operate
properly, return it to the place of purchase with
sales receipt. See following Warranty information.
No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE
When not in use, your dryer should be disconnected, allowed to cool, and stored in a safe, dry
location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap
line cord around dryer.

Su electricista le puede ayudar a decidir cuál
sistema escoger – un sistema removible que
se conecta a la toma de corriente o un sistema

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador requiere poco mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio. El
secador se recalentará si las aberturas de
aire están bloqueadas u obstruidas. Cuando
sea necesario limpiarlo, desconéctelo, permita
que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las pelusas de
las aberturas de aire con un cepillo pequeño
o el cepillo accesorio de una aspiradora. La
superficie exterior del secador solo se debe
limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si las aberturas
de aire están bloqueadas u obstruidas.
Si esto ocurriera, un sistema de seguridad
apagará el secador o cortará la temperatura
automáticamente para evitar daños al aparato
o lesiones personales. Si esto sucediera,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que se enfríe
por 10 a 15 minutos antes de encenderlo de
nuevo. Asegúrese de que las ventilaciones de
aire están limpias.
PRECAUCIÓN
