OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.

trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp
fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated

CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE

EVERY TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE.

This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The pur­pose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.

1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug (See appropriate diagram below).

2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out.

3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.

5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.

6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.

Should the appliance go off and the reset but­ton pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from outlet
and allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert plug
into outlet.

If not, return to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.

SUPER STYLING GUIDE

Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.

DRYING BASICS

1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel blot hair
to remove excess moisture. Section hair.

2. The ion generator emits clouds of negatively
charged ions which will help to reduce static
electricity, control frizzy flyaways and contribute
to your hair’s shine.

3. The dryer has 3 heat and 2 speed settings,
as well as a cool shot - whether you select a
high powerful setting for maximum volume or
a low cool setting to lock in a style, you will
always get the benefit of the ionizing func­tion. The variable air intake allows you to vary
the amount of air that flows through the dryer
and helps to vary the temperature to prevent

4. If you use the dryer with a styling brush (the
professional way to style and dry at the same
time), brush each strand from underneath
as you direct hot air to top of strand, always

moving slowly and steadily up and down each

correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.

El secador se recalentará si las abertu­ras de aire estén bloqueadas u obstruidas.

Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchufe el
aparato y déjelo enfriar, luego saque el polvo
y las pelusas de las aberturas de aire con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de una

se debe limpiar con un paño limpio.
