Diffuser Attachment helps to create texture

INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz)
only. Standard Dryers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.

Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances
may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a
15 amp fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with
one rated higher than the capacity of the
circuit. Doing so could result in an
electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FE ATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Applianc e
Leakage Circuit Interrupter ( ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inopera ble under
some abnormal conditions, such as
immersion in water. To make sure the ALCI
is functioning properly, perform t he following
test. The purpose of this te st is to allow you
to make sure the water sensing system
(ALCI) is work ing.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. T here
will be an audible click and reset button
will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, units
should be unplugged. Then push reset
button in, and reinsert plug in to outlet.
4. If ALCI is not funct ioning properly,
return appliance t o nearest service
center.
5. It is important that if immer sion occurs,
this unit be brought to a service cen ter. Do
not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you u se
the unit to confirm ALC I is operational.
Should the appliance go off and th e reset
button pop up during use, this could in dicate
a malfunction in the unit. Remove plug fro m
outlet and allow the appliance to cool.
Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function n ormally.
If not, return to an author ized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair
right with superior quality sha mpoos,
conditioners, and finishing produc ts.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with product s
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel
dry hair to remove excess moisture.
Section hair.
2. Set your heat/speed set ting to “high”
(which is part of the ionizing funct ion), the
ion generator will reduce static ele ctricity,
control frizzy flyaways and co ntribute to
your hair’s shine.
3. If you use the dryer with a st yling brush
(the professional way to st yle and dry at
the same time), brush each strand from
underneath as you direct hot air to top o f
strand, always moving slowly and steadily
up and down each strand. This way, you’ll
be aiming heat at your hair, not at your
scalp.
4. For quick touch-ups between sha mpoos,
mist hair to dampen it before sty ling
with dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls
and waves, dry hair almost completely on
a low temperature setting, then s et your
style by pressing the cool sho t button
(which also activates the ionizing
function). This will help reduce stati c
again and shine hair for a perfect finish .
For curlier, wavier hair styles use the
diffuser attachmen t.

FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los pro-
ductos deseados. Enjuáguelo bien y séquelo
con una toalla para eliminar el exceso de agua.
Divida el cabello en secciones.
2. Ponga el calor y la velocidad en “HIGH”
(alto) para activar la función iónica. Su secador
generará iones negativos, los cuales ayudarán
a reducir la electricidad estática y a controlar
los cabellos sueltos, al mismo tiempo que
agregarán brillo.
3. Seque el cabello usando simultáneamente el
secador y un cepillo (el método que los profe-
sionales usan para secar y poner en forma a la
vez). Coloque el cepillo debajo de cada sección
de cabello y dirija el flujo de aire caliente hacia
la parte superior del cabello. Mueva el cepillo
y el secador lenta y simultáneamente hasta
las puntas, dirigiendo el flujo de aire hacia el
cabello, no hacia el cuero cabelludo.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes
de secarlo.
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles
y ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
usando un ajuste de calor bajo, luego fije el
peinado usando el disparo de aire frío (lo cual
activa también la función iónica). Esto reducirá
aún más la electricidad estática y agregará
brillo al cabello, para un acabado perfecto.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virt ually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. F or proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer sh ould be wiped clean
with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause
the dryer to overheat. If overheating occurs, an
automatic safety device will shut the dryer or the
heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If
the unit or the heat cycles off, unplug the cord
and allow the dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes
before restarting. Make sure the air vents are
clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the dryer, caus-
ing it to rupture and short. Inspect the cord
frequently for damage. Stop us e immedi-
ately if damage is visible or unit stops or
operates intermitte ntly.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to an au-
thorized Conair service represent ative only. No
repairs should be attempted by the consum-
er.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be discon-
nected, allowed to cool and stored in a safe, dry
location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap
line cord around dryer. Allow the cord to hang
or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into
the dryer.

Conair will repair or replace, at our option, your
appliance free of charge for 24 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
