Refrigerator Kit
Below are instructions for upgrading a refrigerator kit to the new latch. Contact CompX Security Products at 864.297.6655
with any questions or for additional help.
Included in this kit are
(shown left to right, top to bottom):
k Refrigerator lock housing
k Motorized latch
k Refrigerator housing back cover
k Three (3) pieces of mounting tape
k Strike
k Two (2) bezel mounting screws
k Four (4) latch mounting screws

k Four (4) housing cover screws
k Eight (8) sheet metal mounting screws
Tools needed:
k #2 Philips driver
k T15 pin-in-head Torx driver

Refrigerator Kit
Step 1
Remove the existing refrigerator lock and strike from the refrigerator
that it is installed upon.
Step 2
Remove four back cover screws with #2 Phillips screwdriver. Remove
cover and discard.
Step 3 – Removing the latch
Disconnect the latch cable and remove the latch by removing four (4)
latch screws with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Discard latch and screws.
3A – Disconnect latch cable.
3B – Remove latch screws (4).

3C – Discard latch and latch screws.

Step 4 – Removing the batteRy box (DO NOT DAMAGE)
Disconnect battery cable and RJ11 cable from main access control
unit. MAKE SURE to depress connector locks before removing cables,
or permanent damage will result.
4A – Illustration of connector locks.
4C – Using large slotted screwdriver, deflect housing wall to allow to
battery box to be removed.
4B – Depress connector locks and remove battery cable and RJ11 cable.

Step 5 – Removing the bezel (DO NOT DAMAGE)
Remove main access assembly by removing two (2) screws with #2
Phillips screwdriver.
