PRE-INSTALLATION TIPS
• Allow replacement gasket to reach room temperature before unfolding.
• Carry gasket by its corners and avoid squeezing folds to prevent breaking the internal magnetic strip.
• Thoroughly clean the area of the door where the gasket attaches, as well as the cabinet perimeter that the gasket face contacts.

DISTORTIONS
• Our gaskets are made from a vinyl material which can become distorted from folding. The folding is necessary to allow a practical and
economically sized shipping parcel.
• The vinyl material retains a “memory” of its original shape so any distortions or kinks will only be temporary.
• Return to the original shape can be accelerated greatly by the application of heat, for example:
Immerse gasket in 140º-185ºF (60º-85ºC) water for 15 to 30 minutes before installing.
Apply heat from an electric hair dryer or heat lamp before and after installation. Care must be taken not to overheat and stretch or
melt the material when using this method.
