11Mbps Wireless Access Point
The Compex WP11A+ Wireless LAN access point is a cost-effective and simple -toinstall access point. With a web-based management interface, it can easily be configured. In addition, it has the ability to be configured locally or remotely. Built with Pseudo VLAN segmentation technology, the WP11A+ provides wireless clients with added privacy in addition to the standard 64-bit or 128-bit Wire Equivalent Privacy (WEP) data encryption. This feature is especially useful in public hotspot deployments. Compex WP11A+ is designed with an interface that allows the connection to an external antenna for a wider wireless network coverage. Compex WP11A+ can function in 4 different modes: Access Point Bridge mode, Access Point Client Mode, Gateway mode and Wireless Routing Client mode. These versatile functionalities make the WP11A+ the ideal solution for a wireless network installation.
Pseudo Virtual LAN
The Compex unique Wireless Pseudo VLAN technology is a feature that allows a wireless client or groups of wireless clients to be segmented wirelessly into its individual workgroup, or individual node, thus enhancing the privacy of the wireless clients. This is especially useful in public hotspot deployments.
Wireless Routing Client Capability
The Wireless Routing Client mode enables Internet Service Providers or offices to send their data packets wirelessly. These network packets will be routed to a wired Local Area Network via the WP11A+.
Easy Installation
Installing the WP11A+ Wireless LAN Access Point is simple. Simply plug it into any existing wired network and the access point is able to communicate with all the wireless clients that has the same Extended Service Set ID (ESSID).
Universal Configuration Software
The Compex uConfig software allows users to get onto the web-based configur ation interface of the WP11A+ without changes to the TCP/IP settings of the PC.
Web-based Management Interface
The WP11A+’s embedded HTTP server allows configuration of features on a user friendly web-based management interface. In addition, firmware upgrades are also done through this interface.
Reliable Operations
Dynamic rate shifting will automatically select the best speed for wireless connections (11, 5.5, 2, 1 Mbps). It ensures reliable connections even at long range or in noisy environments.
Optional External Antenna
The optional iWavePort WA-HGA-5+ Indoor Range Extender allows wider wireless coverage and better performance when used in combination with the NetPassage WP11A+.
