collision-free packet switching capability.
Plug and Play Operation
The SDS1224 can operate out of the box
with no further configuration needed. Its
auto-negotiation feature allows 10/100
Mbps ports to adjust the speed to the
servers Ethernet adapter used. N-way
auto negotiation is featured in every port
which allows any type of Category 5
Ethernet cable to be used.
Compatibility
It is designed to conform with the IEEE
802.3 10Base-T and IEEE 802.3u
100Base-TX standards, allowing you to
boost the potential network throughput
without sacrificing the present
investments.
Form Factor
Its rack-mount form factor at 19-inch
allows you to install it in the standard
wiring closet.
The Compex SDS1224, 24-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged switch is the latest
addition to Compex ReadyLINK® products. To serve up the best possible
performance, the Compex SDS1224 filters and forwards packets at full wire speed.
It also features an 4K MAC address table and a complementary self-learning and
aging algorithm, the SDS1224 aims to meet the most demanding network needs.
The support for IEEE 802.3x Flow Control in full-duplex mode, and back pressure
flow control in half-duplex mode, allows the SDS1224 to relieve possible network
congestions and improves reliability of transmissions. Auto MDI/MDI-x crossover
on all ports eliminate the need for crossover cables or uplink ports.
It provides a cost-effective way to increase network performance while preserving
most of existing network investment, including installed cabling and end users’
hardware. This plug and play, easy-to-use switch will enhance and compliment
any existing network infrastructure and deliver the performance that you demand.
