2. Gently press out the existing trunion using a ½ in. driver, being careful not to damage the
rocker body. During the press out make sure that the die, driver and rocker arm remain straight.
The factory trunion will unseat and come out relatively easily.
3. It is critical that the bearing be installed with the letters facing outward on both sides of the
rocker arm!
4. Set your OEM rocker arm body on a press and place the bearing on the bottom side of the
rocker with the bearing letters facing outward. Be sure the bearing is as flat as possible against
the rocker; this will ensure you don’t damage the bearing or rocker arm.
5. Now press against the rocker using a flat driver around 1 in. in diameter. Drive the bearing in
using the press only until it sits flush with the side of the rocker body.
6. Drop in the trunion. Set the other bearing on top as flat as possible. Set 1 of the washers
included with the kit on top of it, again letters facing outward. Press against washer so it slides
around the trunion. Press only until light pressure is felt, this will start the top bearing install,
ensuring everything stays lined up.
