Charging instructions:
In-vehicle electronics could be damaged at peak voltage levels, so make sure whether and how the battery should be disconnected from the power supply, in the vehicle manufacturer's manual. It is strongly recommended to disconnect the battery from the vehicle for charging.
! Remove battery caps from cells, if there are some, and
check battery electrolyte level. If the electrolyte level is below the recommended level, add distilled water. Do not use water from the water supply. Once the charging process has finished, place the caps back on the cells again.
! For batteries without cell fasteners, the manufacturer's
charging instructions must be followed carefully.
! Make sure the vehicle's ignition is off (if the battery is in
the vehicle).
! Connect the positive terminal of the charger (red) to the
positive pole (+) of the battery, negative (black) to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
! Once the power cord is plugged into a 230 V socket, the
charger turns on.
! The green light (Charge) lights up, the battery is
charging.
! When the battery voltage reaches 13.5 V, the charger
automatically switches to discharge mode and the red(Discharge) light comes on.
! When the battery voltage drops to 12.5 volts, the
charger automatical ly switches to charging mode again.
! These repeated cycles keeps the battery in optimum
charge level for several months.
! Always disconnect the charger from the 230V mains
first and then the battery clips.
! If you open the cell caps, you must close them again.
