IMPORTANT
Please read this instruction manual carefully before operating the unit
• Remove isolation tape in battery compartment before charging battery for the fi rst time – this is located behind the battery inside the battery compartment
• Charge battery for minimum of 12 hours before fi rst use or if unit has not been used for a long period of time
• If unit is being stored away for a long period of time without use, remove water and battery from unit
• Indoor use only
• Wipe clean with damp cloth only – do not use any abrasive cleaners
• Store in a cool and dry place, away from children when not in use
• Switch off and disconnect from power outlet when not in use or before cleaning
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or metal capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless then have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety
• Ensure children are supervised when they are around the appliance
WARNING
DO NOT use non rechargeable batteries
• Place unit in well ventilated area when in use or recharging battery
• Disconnect unit from power supply before removing the battery
• When placing the battery in unit, ensure it is installed as indicated inside battery compartment
• Do not dispose of battery in fi re
• To be repaired by qualifi ed persons only
• DO NOT expose to rain
• If adaptor cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by a qualifi ed person
• This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
• Children must be supervised at all times when around this unit
• Unplug from power source when not in use unless recharging
• Empty the water tank before storing or transporting the unit
• Do not use the cooler function if unit is to be used in a damp space
• Do not operate the unit if there is any damage to the power plug or cord – take unit to an authorised service agent for replacement
• Do not use cooler when water tank is empty; water level in tank must be above minimum level in order for this function to operate
• Do not place fi ngers or foreign objects inside fan grill during operation
• Any repairs to be undertaken by an authorised service agent only – do not attempt to undertake any required repairs yourself
TO ATTACH WHEELS
• Attach the four wheels to the base of the unit using the included wrench, tightening each wheel in a clockwise direction
• Wheels can be locked in position if required
REMOTE CONTROL
• Open the rear battery compartment and insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) as indicated. Close compartment cover.
• Remote control must be aimed at the sensor on the front of the appliance (1), and will not function from beside or behind the appliance.

REMOTE & CONTROL PANEL ­EVAPORATIVE COOLER OPERATION
• Ensure the unit is placed on a level surface and that it is switched off.
• Remove water tank as indicated below -
• Fill water tank to above minimum level indicator, ensuring that it is not overfi lled. Cooler will not operate effectively if water level is below minimum level.
• Switch appliance on with Main Power Switch, then press
• Select required fan speed on control panel or remote control. LED light above selected speed will become illuminated on the control panel.
• Press Cooler on/off button to switch cooler on or off; illuminated lights on control panel will indicate functions currently in operation.
FAN OPERATION
• Switch appliance on
• Select required fan speed on control panel or remote control; LED light above selected speed will become illuminated on the control panel.
• To start 360° air fl ow direction, press button on control panel or remote control once; LED light will illuminate on control panel, and the rotary fan grill will begin to rotate, directing air in a full circle. Press the same button to turn the function off.
TIMER OPERATION
• Switch appliance on
• Press timer button on the control panel or remote control to set the countdown timer. The unit will operate with its present settings until the timer runs down.
• Timer can be set for between 1 to 8 hours.
• Once set, LED display will show time set.
• To switch off timer function and operate unit continuously, press timer button until LED display switches off and the light on control panel above timer button is also off.
EXTERNAL BATTERY TERMINAL
• This appliance can be operated directly from an external 12V DC battery (cables not included)
• 12V DC power supply must include a 10A fuse
• Ensure the external power voltage is DC 12V before connecting to the input terminals
• Do not short circuit the battery terminals
• Attach to terminals as indicated on unit
NOTE:
Battery will not recharge when connected to an external battery.
To recharge the battery, connect either the AC or DC adaptor supplied with the unit.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Ensure unit is switched off and disconnected from a power source before cleaning
• Clean outer casing with a damp cloth only – do not use any abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals
• Check condition of fi lters and water tank before each use
• Ensure water tank is completely dry before attaching to unit
REMOVING DUST AND HONEYCOMB FILTERS
• Ensure the unit is switched off and disconnected from a power source
• Unscrew plastic casing on back of unit to remove fi lters
• Clean using a damp cloth only. Do not use strong cleaners or an excessive amount of water
• Ensure all components are completely dry before reattaching to unit
TO REPLACE BATTERY
• Ensure unit is switched off and not connected to an AC power outlet
• Open battery door on back of unit
• Remove battery from mounting plate and unscrew
• Pull out wire connectors of battery terminal and remove from battery
• Attach wire connectors to new battery, put on mounting plate and re-attach screws
• Replace battery cover
ABOUT THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
• Do not charge appliance with different types of rechargeable batteries than battery type included
• Do not fi t non-rechargeable batteries
• When recharging the battery, ensure the appliance is in a well­ventilated area and switched off
• Ensure battery is placed correctly in battery compartment according to battery polarity (+) and (-)
• Do not put battery into fi re and avoid reverse charging
• Battery must be charged for approximately 12 hours in order to be fully charged
• Ensure the appliance is disconnected from power supply before removing the battery
• A leaking battery must be carefully removed from the appliance and disposed of properly

• Switch appliance off
• Insert adaptor into inlet connector and then connect to AC power
