FCCRFexposurecompliance
TheradiatedoutputpowerofyourtabletisbelowtheFCCradiofrequency
exposurelimits.Nevertheless,itshouldbeusedinsuchamannerthatthe
potentialforhumancontactisminimizedduringnormaloperationofyourtablet.
CAUTION:
TheradiatedenergyfromtheantennasconformstotheFCClimitoftheSAR
(SpecificAbsorptionRate)requirementregarding47CFRPart2Section
1093,whenthetabletoperatesintheconventionalsetting.TheSARis
determinedtomeasureatthehighestpowerlevelineachfrequencyband.
However,theactualSARlevelofyourtabletintheoperationbandsiswell
belowthemaximumvalueinsomemeasurementplots.TheThinkPad10
tabletcanadjustthecellulartransmissionpowerautomatically,based
upontheproximitytothehumanbodyandorientation.Namely,thecloser
distancefromyourbodytothetabletwilllowerthecellulartransmission
powerlevel.ThetablethasbeentestedandfoundtomeettheFCCRF
exposureguidelines.

Emergencycalls
ThewirelessWANcarddoesnotsupportvoicecalls,hencetheiruseforessential
communicationisnotpossible,includingemergencycallsregardingtheE911rule.

Makesureofthefollowingconditionswhenyouuseanyotherexternalwireless

thedeviceconformstotheRFSafetyrequirementandisapprovedtousefor
yourtablet.
•YoumustfollowtheRFSafetyinstructionsofwirelessoptiondevicesthatare

•Ifwirelessoptionsareprohibitedtouseinconjunctionwithanother

thelevelofenergyemittedisfarmuchlessthantheelectromagneticenergy
emittedbywirelessdeviceslikeforexamplemobilephones.
Duetothefactthatwirelessfeatureoperateswithintheguidelinesfoundinradio
frequencysafetystandardsandrecommendations,Lenovobelievestheyare
safeforusebyconsumers.Thesestandardsandrecommendationsreflectthe
consensusofthescientificcommunityandresultfromdeliberationsofpanels
andcommitteesofscientistswhocontinuallyreviewandinterprettheextensive
researchliterature.
Insomesituationorenvironment,theuseofwirelessfeaturemightberestricted
bytheproprietorofthebuildingorresponsiblerepresentativesoftheorganization.
Thesesituationsandareasmightforexampleinclude:
•Usingtheintegratedwirelesscardsonboardofairplanes,inhospitalsor
nearpetrolstations,blastingareas(withelectro-explosivedevices),medical
