FVT10C1(M,S)1/M Series
10-BIT DIGITALLY ENCODED VIDEO TRANSMITTER
WITH CONTACT CLOSURE
The ComNet™ FVT10C1(M,S)1/M series video transmitters transmit one channel of
video plus one contact closure over one optical fiber. The FVT10C1M transmitter is
available in multimode and single-mode versions.
This FVT10C1M is compatible with the FVR10C1(M,S)1, FVR20C2(M,S)2 and
FVR40C4(M,S)4 series single, dual and quad channel receivers. Plug-and-play design
ensures ease of installation requiring no electrical or optical adjustments.
Bi-color (Red/Green) LED indicators are provided for rapidly ascertaining equipment
operating status. Please see Figure 3 on Page 3 for explanations of the LED indicators.
These units have a small footprint and are ideal for mounting where space is limited
or can be mounted inside equipment housing. Please see Figure A on Page 4 for
mounting instructions.

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
This fiber-optic link is supplied as a Standalone/Surface Mount module.
Units should be installed in dry locations protected from extremes of
temperature and humidity.
WARNING: Unit is to be used with a Listed Class 2 or LPS power supply.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
A) Elevated Operating Ambient - If installed in a closed or multi-
unit rack assembly, the operating ambient temperature of the
rack environment may be greater than room ambient. Therefore,
consideration should be given to installing the equipment in an
environment compatible with the maximum ambient temperature
(Tma) specified by the manufacturer.
B) Reduced Air Flow - Installation of the equipment in a rack should
be such that the amount of air flow required for safe operation of the
equipment is not compromised.
