1.0 OVERVIEW
Thanks for purchasing this product. Please check the contents of the packing.
It contains:
- The DA-12R unit
- The present user manual
- The Power Supply
DA-12R is a 1 x 2 high resolution RGBHV distribution amplifier. It's compatible with
many standards as:
- Composite (triple 1x2 CVBS distributor)
- Component YUV
- Computer RGBHV
- RGBS (Composite sync. SUN, SGI)
- RGsB (Sync On Green)
DA-12R unit receives signals from the source by 5 BNC.
The two BNC outputs can be buffered to reach the distance up to 100 m without
losses.

2.0 POWER
DA-12R is powered only by the AC adapter equipped with the unit.
Units don't have adjustment or setting inside.
Servicing must be made by qualified personnel.
The adapter must be fitted in a 220-240 Vac/50 Hz socket.
3.0 SETTINGS
The ensure compatibility of DA-12R with the whole of sources either broadcast or
informatics, input impedance of H (Comp.) automatically conforms to the source.
If the source gives a TV negative sync,
it will be terminated at 75 Ohm.
In the other cases the input will remain in high impedance.
By a dip-switch accessible from the bottom of the unit the output can be buffered.
1 BOOST :In On pos. the BNC outputs are buffered.
For length equal or greater than 50 m.
The switch BOOST must be set in ON pos.
The unit is factory-set as follows:

4.0 INSTALLATION
a) Be sure that all units to be installed are in OFF state.
b) Connect the source to INPUT RGBHV by a RG59 B/U cable.
ATTENTION
If your source gives signals RGB+S connect the S to the BNC H.
If your source gives the Sync On Green leave open the BNC H are V.
If your source has an HDD 15 p.f. as output connector,
use a COMM-TEC adapter cable as an interface.
c) Connect the two destination with BNC RGBHV output by a RG59 B/U cable.
d) Power the unit as described in chapter 2.0 and check that the led POWER on
front panel lights up.
ATTENTION
DA-12R does not process the sync.
So the destinations must be compatible with the source.
If they aren't it's necessary to interpose an interface
type COMM-TEC IF-11V or IF-12VA
ATTENTION
The length of cables which bring RGB signals must be
the same with a tolerance of 0,5 m. Greater difference may
cause a significative loss of the image resolution.

7.0 NOTES
This product is guaranteed for two years from date of purchase.
Warranty falls off if defect is due to negligence in use or
intervention of unauthorised personnel.
In the course of warranty COMM-TEC will repair the faulty units for free.
Faulty units must arrive to COMM-TEC free of charge and with return
transportation pre-paid.
Out of warranty COMM-TEC will repair faulty units with cost charged to customer.
Units must arrive to COMM-TEC free of charge and with return transportation pre-
paid.
