Using the appropriate Comfort Company cushion may reduce the risk factors that contribute to pressure ulcer development. However, prior to using a Comfort Company cushion it is important that each individual be assessed by a healthcare professional for other risk factors including, but not limited to, mobility, nutrition, circulation and previous history of pressure ulcers. In addition to this initial assessment, individuals using cushions should be monitored by a health care professional for any changes in their condition.
