OVERVIEW
The 32-Button DSS/BLF Console extends the
memory button capability of an adjacent companion DigiTech telephone by an additional 32
buttons and status lights. The buttons can be
programmed for automatic dialing (autodial)
and/or direct station selection (DSS) with busy
lamp field (BLF).

When a DSSiBLF console is initially connected at
a station port, the system recognizes it as such,
and automatically assigns the station intercom
numbers to the console buttons for the maximum
numberof stations connected to the system. (The
maximum coverage is limited by the 32 available
buttons.)

DSS/BLF OPERATION
DSS/BLF provides one-button intercom calling
with visual indication of station status.
STORING DSS NUMBERS
To program DSS numbers,
Press ITCM on telephone. Listen for tone.
Dial +@ t 3 from telephone dial pad. Tone
will stop.
Press desired button on Console.
Dial extension number from telephone dial
pad.
Repeat previous two steps for all desired
stations.
Press MNTR (SPKR) on telephone when
programming is complete.
Record DSS names or locations on supplied
reference card and install card on Console
faceplate.
. Lii out plastic reference card cover from
Console faceplate.

Write or type names in squares on reference card.

Install card under cover and snap cover
back into place on Console.
To blank a DSS button,

To voice announce a call to a DSS number,

on your Console.
To tone signal a call to a DSS number,

Press ITCM on telephone. When station
answers, two-way conversation can take
place.
The
BLF lights that are adjacent to the DSS
buttons on the Console indicate the status of the
stations programmed at the buttons. Status conditions are as follows:

AUTOMATIC DIALING
Automatic dialing provides one- or two-button
calling of often used numbers and access codes
as a secondary function of the DSS buttons. For
a primary autodial function, blank the DSS/BLF
function at the desired buttons.
