Retrofit Kit Instruction Manual
While holding back plastic cover,
use phillips-head screwdriver
to remove screw and washer as
shown in gure 3b.

and associated Travel Systems containing the Centre and Shuttle.
Model numbers aected are:
8065, 8074, 8086, 8087 and 8520
and associated Travel Systems
containing the Centre and Shuttle
(Model #4400, 4515, 4520)
Child restraints manufactured prior
to 12/15/2007 are aected by this
recall.
Step 1: Remove Fabric and Plastic Covers Step 2: Remove Screw and Washer

Detach foot-end of fabric cover from shell by unsnapping
and removing adjuster strap and buckle from cover.
Fold cover back as shown in figure 1b to expose the
plastic covers on the left and right.

Step 3: Assemble Spring

Slide wrench tool under-
neath lower end of plastic
cover to pop open.
Place screw and washer
into spring loop.

Place the assembled spring into the
screw hole.
CAUTION: Tighten the screw until
it is snug. Do not over-tighten.

Using the slotted end of wrench
tool provided, push hook and
insert directly above current
spring onto metal bracket as
shown in gure 6b.
CAUTION: Make sure the hook
is attached to the bracket and
NOT attached to the spring.
