IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons by always following the basic precautions including, but not limited to those listed below:
1) READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS HEATER.
2) Retain all your unit’s packaging.
3) For your records, staple or attach your original sales receipt to this owner's guide. Please write
your Tri-Flo Heater model and serial numbers (located on product spec decal) on the last page of this manual.
4) Register your product for warranty at www.tri-flo.com.
5) This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If
provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible and flammable materials such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.91 meters) from all sides of the heater.
6) Exercise extreme caution when using any heater by or near people or animals.
7) When not in use for long periods, always power down your heater and unplug.
8) Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or if the heater malfunctions or
received damage in any manner. Do not put any undue stress on the power cord. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
9) Never locate a heater near a bathtub or other areas that may contain standing water.
10) Do not use outdoors.
11) Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation, exhaust, or fan opening as this
may cause an electric shock or fire or damage the heater and or property.
12) Use caution when transporting the heater; do not drop as it can cause physical harm; watch the
point on the front of the heater as it can nick surfaces it meets.
13) Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cords with throw rugs, runners, or similar
coverings. Do not route cords under furniture or appliances. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and where it may be tripped over.
14) Pay attention to where the heater is placed in the room to avoid tripping over it.
15) Always plug heater directly into a wall outlet/receptacle that are properly grounded. Only use
extension cords that are rated for high temperature use 158°F (70°C) and meet the voltage/amperage requirements for this specific unit.
16) Colorado Tri-Flo intends that this heater operate on a bulb thermostat up to 155°F (68.3°C). The
heater is equipped with a bulb thermostat that is rated to 155°F (68.3°C) Further, the warranty only applies for operation at or below 155°F (68.3°C).
17) To disconnect the heater, turn control knob to off, then remove the plug from the outlet.
18) To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft
surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
19) A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint,
or flammable liquids are used or stored.

20) This heater contains no user serviceable parts. DO NOT OPEN THE HEATER. Doing so can cause
physical harm. If the heater is opened the warranty is voided. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
21) Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by Colorado
Tri-Flo may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
22) SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
NO USER-SERVICABLE PARTS ARE INSIDE THE UNIT. DO NOT OPEN THE HEATER. REFER ALL REPAIRS TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AT COLORADO TRI-FLO SYSTEMS, LLC.
Operating Instructions
This is a free standing heater. It requires 3 feet (0.91 meters) of clearance around all its sides. Your unit is shipped as a corded unit. When used as configured (corded) out of the box, its portability allows you to move the heater from one location to another.
Wiring
In accordance with ANSI/NFPA 70, the ER5000W.01 240V heater unit comes with a 7 foot cord and plug. The plug must use an outlet capable of carrying 240 volts, 5,000 watts, and 30 amperes.
Maintenance
Keep small objects from entering the unit.
When not in use for long periods the heater may collect dust on it and in it. Wipe down the outside shell with a damp cloth and if possible use compressed air to blow out the inside.
Make sure unit is unplugged and cool before preforming any maintenance.
Controls
The heating unit has a bulb thermostat dial mounted on the unit.

Installation Instructions
1. Inspect for any damage to heater and electric cord.
2. Set the heater in a location of use ensuring that there is a minimum clearance of 3 feet (.91
meters) from all walls, the ceiling, and other objects.
3. For this heater you must use an outlet capable of carrying 240 volts, 5,000 watts, and 30
amperes.
4. Turn the dial to the “High” position.
5. Frequently monitor the room temperature.
6. When done, turn off by turning the dial to the “Off’ position.
7. Unplug the heater.
“CAUTION – High temperature, risk of fire, keep electrical cords, drapery, Furnishings and other combustibles at least 3 feet (0.91 m) from the front of the heater and away from the side and rear.”
“To reduce the risk of fire, do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of the heater.”

For warranty or repair service, email info@tri-flo.com or call +1-303-532-2494 to obtain a Return Authorization Form. Please have your Tri- Flo Heater model number and serial number handy. After receiving your Return Authorization Form, use your retained packaging to ship your heating unit, with insurance, to:

To ensure proper handling, packages must be clearly marked on the outside of the package with the Return Authorization number.
Packages not clearly marked with the Return Authorization number risk refusal.
