To next junction box / emergency pack.
Installation instructions
If this emergency pack is for use with H6 product, use the alternative instruction leaflet HLI 1057.
Isolate mains before starting installation.
1
1. Refer to the downlight installation instructions and cut the downlight ceiling holes.
2. For each emergency lighting position, drill a 8mm hole close to the downlight hole. This
is for the emergency pack indicator LED.
3. Connect a permanent mains supply to the emergency pack. Maximum cable diameter

4. Connect the battery pack to the emergency pack.
5. Refer to the downlight installation instructions and connect the switched mains supply
to the downlight.
6. Pull excess red/black wire out from the driver, and cut each wire at the mid point.

7. Connect the red and black emergency pack output wires in parallel to the red and black
wires of the downlight, as shown in the diagram.
8. Feed the emergency pack and battery pack through the hole into the ceiling void.
9. Feed the indicator LED through the 8mm hole.
10. Fit the indicator housing to the indicator LED, then press the housing into the ceiling.
Note - If the drilled hole is slightly bigger than 8mm, it may be necessary to apply a little
adhesive to the housing to secure it.
11. Fit the downlight into the ceiling.

Consignes d’installation
Si vous souhaitez utiliser ce kit d’éclairage de secours avec un produit H6,
référez-vous aux consignes d’installation HLI 1057.
Coupez le courant avant de commencer l’installation.
1. Reportez-vous aux consignes d’installation de l’encastré de plafond et découpez les trous
d’encastrement au plafond.
2. Percez un trou de 8mm à côté de chaque trou d’encastrement et ceci pour chaque kit
d’éclairage de secours LED.
3. Connectez le courant (direct 230V) à chaque câble du kit d’éclairage de secours. Le

diamètre maximum du câble pour chaque kit d’éclairage de secours LED est de 7mm.
4. Connectez la batterie au kit d’éclairage de secours.
5. Reportez-vous aux consignes d’installation de l’encastré de plafond et connectez le courant
à l’encastré de plafond.
6. Tirez sur les fils rouge/noir de l’alimentation qui sont en trop et coupez-les à mi-chemin.

7. Connectez les fils rouge et noir du kit d’éclairage de secours en parallèle aux fils rouge et
noir de l’encastré comme illustré sur le schéma ci-contre.
8. Insérez le kit d’éclairage de secours et sa batterie à travers le trou et dans le vide de
plafond.
9. Insérez le voyant LED dans le trou de 8mm.
10. Attachez le support au voyant LED puis poussez le support dans le plafond.

Note : si le trou percé est plus large que 8mm il sera peut-être nécessaire d’appliquer de
l’adhésif sur le support afin de le fixer.
11. Installez l’encastré au plafond.
12. Voir page 4 pour la mise en marche.

Zur nächsten Anschlussdose / Notlichtversorgung
Installationsanweisungen
Verwenden Sie die alternative Installationsanleitung HLI 1057, falls sich die Notlichversorgung auf
Installation mit dem Produkt H6 bezieht.
Trennen Sie die Anlage vom Netz, bevor Sie mit der Installation beginnen.
1. Schneiden Sie die Öffnungen für die Deckenmontage aus, wie in der Downlight-Anleitung
beschrieben.
2. Bohren Sie für jede Notbeleuchtungsposition ein 8mm großes Loch in der Nähe der
Downlight-Öffnung für die Signal-LED der Notlichtversorgung.
3. Schließen Sie eine permanente Netzstromversorgung an die freie Netzzuleitung der
Notlichtversorgung an.
4. Verbinden Sie den Akkupack mit der Notlichtversorgungseinheit.
5. Verbinden Sie die geschaltete Netzversorgung mit dem Downlight, wie in der DownlightAnleitung beschrieben.
6. Ziehen Sie das rote/schwarze Kabel aus dem Vorschaltgerät.
7. Verbinden Sie die roten und schwarzen Ausgangsleitungen der Notlichtversorgung mit den
roten und schwarzen Notbeleuchtungsleitungen des Downlights. Sehen Sie umseitig, wie
Sie dafür die blauen, mitgelieferten EP Verbinder nutzen können.
8. Führen Sie Notlichtversorgungseinheit und Akkupack durch die Öffnung in den
Deckenhohlraum ein.
9. Setzen Sie die Signal-LED in die 8mm-Bohrung ein.
10. Montieren Sie das Anzeigegehäuse an der Signal-LED, und drücken Sie das Gehäuse in die
Decke. Beachten Sie: Ist die Bohrung etwas größer als 8mm, kann es notwendig sein, das
Gehäuse mit etwas Klebstoff zu sichern.
11. Setzen Sie das Downlight in die Decke ein.

Emergency Pack Commissioning
1. Install unit in ceiling according to the instructions.
2. Provide an uninterrupted mains power supply for 24 hours.
3. Check that the indicator LED light is lit. This confirms that the
batteries are charging.
4. Remove the mains supply – the lamp will operate under battery power
for 3 hours minimum.
5. Restore mains power to the unit, check light functions correctly.
Note
• In normal operation, the green LED will be constantly lit to indicate
that the battery is charging. If the green LED is ever not lit, investigate
immediately and rectify the fault.
• Periodic testing of the unit must be performed in line with the
appropriate regulations.
Mise en marche du kit d’éclairage de secours
1. Installez le kit dans le plafond en suivant les consignes.
2. Ne coupez pas le courant pendant au moins 24h.
3. Vérifier que le voyant LED soit bien allumé. Cela confirme que la
batterie est chargée.
4. Coupez le courant, la lampe fonctionnera grâce à la batterie pendant
au moins 3h.
5. Reconnectez le courant et vérifiez que les lumières fonctionnent
correctement.
Note
• Lors d’un fonctionnement normal, la LED verte sera constamment
allumée et indique que la batterie se charge correctement (si le
voyant LED ne s’allume pas, recherchez la cause du problème
immédiatement).
• Des tests périodiques doivent prendre place selon les normes en
vigueur.

Inbetriebnahme der Notlichtversorgungseinheit
1. Installieren Sie die Einheit anleitungsgemäß in der Decke.
2. Sorgen Sie für eine durchgehende Netzstromversorgung über 24
Stunden.
3. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die LED leuchtet. Dies zeigt an, dass die
Akkus aufgeladen werden.
4. Trennen Sie die Netzstromversorgung ab – die Leuchte läuft dann
mindestens 3 Stunden lang im Akkubetrieb.
5. Stellen Sie die Netzstromversorgung wieder her, und prüfen Sie, ob
die Leuchte korrekt funktioniert.
Hinweis
• Im Normalbetrieb leuchtet die grüne LED permanent und zeigt so
an, dass der Akku aufgeladen wird (leuchtet die Anzeige-LED rot
oder gar nicht, untersuchen Sie sofort das Problem und beheben Sie
die Störung).
• Eine regelmäßige Überprüfung der Einheit ist entsprechend den
einschlägigen Bestimmungen durchzuführen.
