Installation

1. Isolate the mains supply prior to wiring.

2. Unscrew two screws and pull the front cover to
remove it (see Fig 1).

3. Open gear tray, release the clip marked with arrow
(see Fig2).

4. Feed the mains cable through the appropriate knock
out and mark the two screw positions on the wall. If
using the supplied wall plugs, drill Ø 6mm holes.

5. Connect the mains supply to the screw terminal block
on the back plate.
L - permanent live, Lin - switched live (optional),
N - neutral, E - earth

6. Connect the battery to the PCB and write installation
date on the battery.

7. Close gear tray.

8. Locate the front cover and secure it with two screws.

9. Turn on mains power. The green LED indicator should
be lit indicating that the unit is connected correctly
and the battery is charging.

Emergency pack commissioning

1. Provide an uninterrupted mains power supply
(permanent live) for 24 hours.

2. Check that the green indicator LED light is lit. This
confirms that the batteries are charging.

3. Remove the mains supply - the unit will operate under
battery power for 3 hours minimum.

4. Restore mains power to the unit, check light functions
correctly.

Installation

1. Avant toute intervention, coupez le courant au tableau
général.

2. Dévissez deux vis et tirez le couvercle avant pour le
retirer (voir Fig 1).

3. Ouvrez le plateau amovible, desserrez le clip marqué
d’une flèche (voir Fig2).

4. Passez le câble d’alimentation par le trou approprié et
marquez les deux positions de vis sur le mur. Si vous
utilisez les chevilles fournies, percez des trous de
6 mm de diamètre.

5. Connectez l’alimentation secteur au bornier à vis sur
la plaque arrière.
L - Allumage permanent, Lin - Commande
d’allumage en mode secours, N - Neutre, E - Terre

6. Connectez la batterie au PCB et écrivez la date
d’installation sur la batterie.

7. Fermez le plateau amovible.

8. Remettez en place le couvercle avant et fixez-le avec
deux vis.

9. Allumez le courant général. Le voyant LED vert doit
s’allumer, il indique que l’appareil est correctement
connecté et la batterie se charge.

Mise en service de l’éclairage de sécurité

1. Fournissez une alimentation secteur ininterrompue
(phase permanente) pendant 24 heures.

2. Vérifiez que le voyant LED vert est allumé. Cela
confirme que les batteries sont en charge.

3. Coupez l’alimentation secteur - le produit
fonctionnera alimenté par sa batterie pendant 3
heures minimum.

4. Rétablissez l’alimentation secteur, vérifiez les
fonctions d’éclairage correctement.

Testing

Periodic testing of the unit must be performed in line with
the appropriate regulations.

Self-test version

• Functional test (every 30 days) - 5 minutes - green
LED indicator will be flashing slowly.

• Full duration test (every 52 weeks) - 3 hours - green
LED indicator will be flashing quickly.

Manual-test version

• Hold test button for 1s – quick functional test – the
unit will switch to emergency mode for 10s and switch
back to normal operation.

• Hold test button for 5 seconds – functional test
performed monthly – 5 minutes – green LED indicator
will be flashing slowly.

• Hold test button for 8 seconds - full duration test
performed annually - 3 hours – green LED indicator
will be flashing quickly. At the beginning of the test
red LED indicator will be flashing slowly for 15s, if the
battery is not fully charged the product will return to
normal operation.

• Hold test button for 10s – interrupt the duration test
and switch the unit to normal operation

• Hold test button for 15s – reset self-test counter to 0
for monthly and annually performed test.

Any failures are shown by red LED indicator.
In normal operation, the green LED will be constantly lit to
indicate that the battery is charging.
Note: Collingwood Lighting advice to perform a quarterly
discharge test to all products containing batteries, this
should extend the battery life.

occurs. Contact Collingwood Lighting for a suitable

• The light source contained in this luminaire shall only
be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent
or a similar qualified person.

Disposal of this product should be separate from
household waste. Please separate these items from
other types of waste and recycle them responsibly to
promote the sustainable reuse of material resource.
Household users should contact their local government
office for details of where and how they can take these
items for environmentally safe recycling.

du test le voyant LED rouge clignotera lentement
pendant 15s si la batterie n’est pas complètement
chargée et le produit reviendra à un fonctionnement
normal.

• Maintenez le bouton de test pendant 10 secondes ­pour interrompre le test de durée et basculer l’unité
en fonctionnement normal.

• Maintenez le bouton de test pendant 15 secondes ­pour remettre le compteur d’auto-test à 0 afin de
comptabiliser les tests effectués mensuellement et
annuellement.

Toute défaillance est indiquée par le voyant LED rouge. En
fonctionnement normal, la LED verte sera constamment
allumée indiquant que la batterie est en charge.
Remarque: Collingwood Lighting conseille d’effectuer
tous les trimestres un test de décharge sur tous les
produits contenant des batteries, cela afin de prolonger la
durée de vie de la batterie.

Anzeige blinkt langsam.

• Halten Sie den Testknopf 8 Sek. – jährlich
durchzuführende, vollständiger Betriebsdauertest – 3
Stunden – grüne Anzeige blinkt schnell. Zu Beginn
der Prüfung blinkt die rote LED 15 Sek. langsam; ist
die Batterie nicht vollständig aufgeladen, kehrt das
Produkt in den Normalbetrieb zurück.

• Halten Sie den Testknopf 10 Sek. – Unterbrechung
des Betriebsdauertests und Rückkehr in den
Normalbetrieb.

• Halten Sie den Testknopf 15 Sek. – setzt den
Selbsttest-Zähler zurück auf 0 für monatlich und
jährlich durchgeführte Tests.

Jegliche Fehler werden durch die rote LED angezeigt.
Im Normalbetrieb leuchtet die grüne LED konstant, und
zeigt an, dass die Batterie aufgeladen wird.
Hinweis: Collingwood Lighting rät, einen vierteljährlichen
Entladungstest für alle Produkte mit Batterien
durchzuführen. Dies verlängert die Batterielebensdauer.
