Installation
1. This product is manual test.
2. Important: This unit must be wired by a qualified electrician or suitable competent person. Isolate the mains supply prior to wiring.
3. Remove front cover, screws will be loose for ease of install (Fig 1).
4. Screw the back section of the light fitting, onto the mounting surface using the 4x screws provided, taking care to include one of the 4x supplied grommets between the back surface of the product and the mounting surface at each screw (Fig 4).
5. If using the supplied wall plugs, drill Ø 4mm holes (Fig 4).
6. Feed the mains cabling into the product via the cable entry drill out holes (use M20 drill bit) either on the back or side of the product (Fig 4).
7. Ensure glands are fitted to maintain IP rating (Fig 4).
8. Connect the mains supply to the terminal block on the back plate. L = permanent live, N = neutral, E = earth.
9. Position the jumper switch to the required lumen output (Fig 2).
10. Attach the security cable (Fig 1).
11. Connect power supply to LED board (Fig 3).
12. Connect the battery to the PCB and write commissioning date on the battery (Fig 3).
13. Secure the cover to the body via the 4 captive screws.
14. Turn on mains power. The green LED indicator should be lit indicating the unit is connected correctly and the battery is charging
Emergency pack commissioning
1. Provide an uninterrupted mains power supply (permanent live) for 24 hours.
2. Check that the green indicator LED light is lit. This confirms that the batteries are charging.
3. Remove the mains supply, the unit will operate under battery power for 3 hours minimum.
4. Restore mains power to the unit, check light functions correctly.
Testing
• Periodic testing of the unit must be performed in line with the appropriate regulations.
LED Indicator
• Green constantly lit – normal standby mode or battery is charging.
• Off – emergency mode, battery or light source fault.
Installation data
• Important: This unit must be wired by a qualified electrician or suitable competent person. Isolate the mains supply prior to wiring.
• The light source contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person.
• The driver contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or service agent or a similar qualified person.
• Battery must be replaced when the unit no longer meet it’s rated emergency duration, or if a battery fault occurs.
