Installation Instructions
Use these steps to attach the Rotisserie Bracket to the left side of the grill.
Attaching Rotisserie Bracket to Grill
1. Rotisserie Kit consists of a motor, motor mount, spit, three screws, and two meat
forks. (See Parts List, other side)
2. With the grill cover closed, place the bracket on the left side of the grill, aligning the
holes in the bracket with the holes in the grill. Using the three screws supplied, attach
the bracket to the left side of the grill in the three pre-drilled holes and tighten
completely (Fig. 1).
Note: Bracket is pre-installed on 8400 and 8450 Series Grills.
3. Slide the motor backward over the bracket for 8100, 8200, 8300, & 8350 Series Grills
(Fig. 2). For 8400 and 8450 slide motor downward over bracket (Fig 3).
4. Slide the pointed end of the spit into the motor (Fig. 4).
5. Rest the grooved end of the spit on the lip (Fig. 5).
NOTE: The rotisserie spit rod is centered between the grill hood and the burners.
It may be necessary to remove the grates and flavor grids when cooking larger
portions of meat on the rotisserie. This is by design, since this configuration gives
you the most possible room above and below the rod for larger pieces of meat.
The rotisserie motor is equipped with metal gears and is capable of
turning up to 20 lbs. of food. The motor is mounted on a bracket on the left side of the
grill by sliding the motor over the bracket with the cord facing the back of the grill. Make
sure the rotisserie motor is completely seated on the bracket prior to operating. Make
sure the rotisserie cord is away from any hot surfaces.
IMPORTANT: This appliance must be electrically grounded according to local codes
or, in the absence of local codes, with the National Electr
ical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 or
the Canadian Electr
ical Code CSA C22.1.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords must be used with care. The marked electrical rating of the cord set
or extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the
extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord. Use outdoor extension cords with a surface marked with suffix letters “WA” and with a tag stating “Suitable for Use with Outdoor Appliances”. Keep the connection to an extension cord away from water
and off the ground. Arrange the cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children
or tripped over unintentionally.
Never clean any electrical product with water or cleaning fluids. Store electrical products indoors and out of reach of children
when not in use. DO NOT allow cord to touch any hot surfaces which could melt insulation.
WARNING
Electrical Grounding instructions: An appliance
equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug is for
your protection against shock hazard and must be
plugged directly into a properly grounded three-prong
receptacle. DO NOT remove grounding prong from a
three-prong plug.
