General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use and keep it in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold, dusty or humid. Do not allow the device to become exposed to strong magnetic elds or long periods of sunlight. Do not expose the device to very low or very high temperatures, which may cause device and/or battery failure, re or explosion.
Liquid: Do not expose this device, battery or charger to any liquids, rain, moisture, water vapor or steam; do not operate the device in an area where it could fall into liquid. Do not operate the device with wet hands. Contact with liquid may cause the device to short-circuit, corrode or cause electric shock.
Shock: Do not shock the equipment, batteries and charger, which may cause device and/or battery failure, re or explosion.
Handling: Do not drop this product or shake it vigorously.
Volume: Always select the appropriate volume when using the music or video function. Using the device
at an excessively high volume may cause loss of hearing.
Battery: Please note that the battery can only reach top performance level after it has been fully charged and discharged two or three times.
Back-up: To avoid loss of data, we recommend always backing up any important information, especially before upgrading the hardware. Winplus Australasia assume no liability for any damage and/or data loss.
Accessories: Only use the device with the battery and power adaptor supplied. Use of other accessories not recommended in this manual may cause damage to the unit and will void your warranty.
Cable/Cord: - Ensure all cables and cords are placed in such a way that they are not likely to cause a tripping hazard, be walked on or pinched by items placed on or against them.
Usage: Only operate the device according to the instructions in this manual. We assume no responsibility for faulty use or inappropriate handling. The equipment is not intended for use by persons while driving (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge.
Children: Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the device. Close supervision is necessary when the device is used by or near children.
Cleaning: Clean the housing of the device lightly with a non abrasive cloth. Do not use alcohol, thinners, chemicals or cleaners.
Repair: This device is a high precision electronic product. It contains no user-serviceable parts inside. Any attempt to dismantle, modify or repair the device made by an unauthorised person/s will void the warranty.

Charging the Tablet
Before using your Tablet for the rst time you should fully charge the battery to maximise battery life and performance.
1. Plug the power adapter into an available power point.
2. Plug the power adapter into the DC Socket of the Tablet and charge until the battery full icon appears.
Note: The Tablet does not charge via USB direct from computers or external batteries.

Turning the Tablet On and O
Power on
1. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
2. “COCOON” will appear while the system initialises.
Powero
1. Press and hold the power button for two seconds.
2. Selectpowero.
Or press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
Locking/Unlocking the screen
To unlock the screen of your Tablet,
1. Press the power button. The screen will illuminate and display the lock screen.
2. Touch and hold the padlock icon.
3. Slide right to the unlocked padlock icon. To lock the screen, simply press the power button.

3. Understanding The Desktop
The Desktop is user customizable, you can change the wallpaper as well as which applications and widgets appear, and where.
Interface Bar
1. Back Icon: Returns to previous screen.
2. Home Icon: Returns to home screen.
3. Recent Apps Icon: Show recently opened applications.
4. Volume: Decrease.
5. Volume: Increase.
6. USB: This will be displayed if connected to a PC.
7. Time Display.
8. Wi-Fi signal status icon.
9. Current battery level.
Navigating the desktop
Scroll between the ve desktop screens by swiping left or right across the touch­screen. The middle screen is the home screen, you can return to it at anytime by pressing the Home icon on the Interface bar.
The screen will automatically sleep (lock) after a predened period of inactivity. The default sleep time is one minute. The sleep function can be changed or disabled in Settings>Display>Sleep

4. Connecting to a PC
1. Plug the included Micro USB cable into your Tablet.
2. Plug the other end into an available USB port on your PC. You will see the screen below.
3. Select Turn on USB Storage to allow your PC to access the internal storage and Micro SD card.
4. The green robot will turn orange and your PC will now have access to the tablet’s data.
Disconnecting from a PC
1. TosafelydisconnectyourTabletfromaPC,selectTurnoUSBStorage.
2. The orange robot will turn green and you can now safely unplug the USB cable.
Note: You can use your Tablet while connected to a PC. Select the home icon to hide the USB prompt.
To access the USB prompt again (to disconnect the Tablet) select the battery icon on the menu bar and select USB connected.

5. Setting the Date and time
1. Select the Settings icon from the home screen.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list by sliding upwards on the left hand side of the screen.
3. Select Date & time by selecting on the text. A blue highlight will appear to indicate your selection.
4. Select Set date and scroll up and down to set the day, month and year, when nished press Done.
5. Select Set time then scroll up and down to set the hour, minute and AM/ PM, when nished press Done.
6. Select time zone then scroll up and down to choose the time zone closest to you.
7. Select Choose date format then scroll up and down to set the date format.
6. Connecting to a Wireless network
1. Go to settings menu by selecting the settings icon
2. SelectingtheswitchnexttoWi-FiwilltoggleWi-FiOn/O.
3. Wait for the Tablet to automatically search and display all available networks.
4. Select the network name or SSID you wish to connect to.
5. You should enter the password if the network is secured indicates a secured Wi-Fi network.

7. Desktop Managment
Changing the Wallpaper
1. Select and hold a blank area of the screen for two seconds.
2. Choose an image from your Gallery, the installed Wallpapers or Live Wallpapers. The Gallery option will open all the photos available for you to choose from, whereas the Wallpaper and Live Wallpaper options will open a list of installed options.
Note: You can get more Live Wallpapers from the Google Play Store.
Adding an Application or Widget to the desktop
1. Select the Apps icon in the top right corner of the desktop to bring up a list of all installed applications and widgets.
2. Select and hold the application you wish to add.
3. Move the application to the desired location on the desktop then lift your nger of the touch screen.
Note: While holding the item, you can hover near the edge of the home screen to scroll to the next page.

Removing an Application or Widget from the desktop
1. Select and hold the application you wish to remove from the desktop.
2. Drag the icon up to the that appears at the top of the screen.
3. Liftyourngerothetouchscreen.
Note: This does not uninstall the application; it just removes the icon from the desktop.
Installing a New Application or Widget
Applications from the Play Store will be installed automatically after the download is complete.
Uninstalling an Application or Widget
1. Select the Apps icon in the top right hand corner of the desktop.
2. Locate the application or widget you want to uninstall.
3. Press and hold on the application.
4. Drag the icon to the trash bin icon at the top of the screen and lift your nger.
5. Select OK.
Note: some default applications cannot be uninstalled.

Getting information about an installed Application
1. Select the Apps icon in the top right hand corner of the desktop.
2. Select and hold on the application you want information on.
3. Drag the icon to the information icon at the top of the screen and lift your nger.
Note: information is not available on all applications.
Creating a new folder/Adding to a folder
1. Select and hold an application.
2. Drag it on top of another application/folder.
3. Liftyourngerothetouchscreen.
4. Repeat as desired to add more Apps to the folder.
NOTE: You can rename the folder by selecting “unnamed folder”

Removing Applications from a folder
1. Display the folders contents by selecting it.
2. Select and hold the app you wish to remove from the folder.
3. Move it outside the shaded folder area.
4. Liftyourngerothescreen.
8 . Notications Menu
1. Select the right side of the Interface bar to bring up the compact notication menu.
To access the full notication menu
2. Select anywhere inside the compact notication menu to expand it to the full notication menu
Note: The notication menu lets you quickly access frequently used settings (Brightness, Volume, Wi-Fi etc.) and displays pending notications (unread emails, recent downloads, application notications etc.)

Using the Settings Menu
To enter the Settings Menu:
1. Locate and Select the settings icon
2. Scroll through the available options by sliding up or down on the left hand side of the screen.
In the Settings Menu you can access Wireless & Network settings, Device settings, Personal settings, Accounts settings and System settings.
Wireless & Network settings
Wi-Fi, Data Usage, VPN, Portable hotspot, Ethernet, Mobile networks.
Device Settings
Sound, Display, Screenshot, Storage, Battery, Apps.
Personal settings
Location, Security, Language & Input, Backup & Reset.
Accounts settings
Google Settings.
System settings
Date & Time, Accessibility, Developer options, About Tablet.

9. Google Play Store
When you rst launch the Google Play Store, you will be prompted to add an existing account or create a new one.
An active internet connection is required to access the Play Store, if you have not already connected to a Wi-Fi network, you will be prompted to at this point.
1. Select the Google Play Store icon.
2. Login with your existing account or create a new one.
3. Choose the category of content you wish to view (Apps, Music, Books, Magazines or Movies)
4. Slide left and right to view Categories, Featured, Top paid, Top free etc.
5. Select an icon to view the full details of the product.
6. Select install from the top left.
7. Review the required App permission and select Accept & Download. You can also Search for Content by selecting the magnifying glass in the top right corner.

Browser:
Accessing a website
1. Ensure you are connected to a Wi-Fi Network.
2. Select the Browser icon
3. Click on the address bar to type in the URL.
4. Select to go to the webpage
When the address bar is selected the on screen keyboard pops up automatically
Opening a new tab
1. Select the new tab icon
2. Select the to open a new tab [+]
Adding a bookmark
1. Select the bookmark menu
2. Select Save to bookmarks.

Video Player:
When you select Video you will be shown all the video les on both the Tablet’s internal memory and the Micro SD card.
1. Select the video icon
2. Select the thumbnail of the video you wish to play.
Gallery:
When you select Gallery you will be shown all the folders that contain image or video les on both the Tablet’s internal memory and the Micro SD card.
1. Select the folder you wish to open.
2. Scroll up and down to view the pictures and videos.
3. Select an individual picture or video to select it and make it full screen.
4. Access the picture options by selecting the icon in the top right corner.

Music Player:
1. Touch the music icon to enter the music player interface.
2. Select the music les you wish to play. You can sort either by Artist, Album, Song or playlist.
Camera:
Taking a picture
1. Select the Camera application icon from the desktop.
2. Select camera mode
3. Adjust zoom and settings as required.
4. Select the shutter button.
Recording a Video
1. Select the Camera application from the desktop.
2. Select video mode
3. Adjust zoom and settings as required.
4. Select the shutter button to start recording.
5. Select the shutter button again to stop recording.

Voice Search:
1. Select the Voice Search icon
2. Speak clearly into tablet when prompted.
3. Wait for the voice recognition to take you to a list the results.

How do I get more Applications or widgets?
Applications are available via the Google Play Store (see page 15 for further instructions)
Can I use my existing personal email account to send/receive email?
The Tablet supports POP3 and SMTP accounts. Some free email accounts are not supported on mobile devices. Check with your email provider to see if you account is supported.
Which media cards are compatible with my Cocoon 7” Android Tablet?
Micro SD cards up to 32GB. FAT32 & NTFS
What type of music les can I play on my Tablet?
AAC, AC3, APE, FLAC, MP2, MP3, OGG, WAV and WMA formats
What type of photo les can I view on my Tablet?
JPG, JPEG, BMP and PNG formats
What type of video les can I play on my Tablet?
3GP, AVI, FLV, MKV, MOV, MP4, MPEG 1/2/4, MPG, RM, RMVB and WMV formats (max resolution 2160p)
Can I play YouTube videos on my Tablet?
Yes. You can Select the YouTube application icon to quickly access videos via the YouTube application
Do I need a Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the Internet?
No. The Wi-Fi adapter is built-in to the Tablet.
My Tablet has stopped connecting to the internet.

FAQ’S
When I turn my tablet on it stays on the Cocoon picture on the screen, Why is this?
You will need to re-boot your tablet. Perform the following steps
1) Plug your power adaptor into a wall socket and connect the tablet.
2)Pressboththeon/oswitchand
the volume button together and hold for approx. 15 seconds.
3) When you see a picture of the Android with a door open on its
stomach,presstheon/obutton-
your tablet will re-boot.

This product is guaranteed against defects for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. This warranty is provided by Winplus Australasia Pty Ltd (Winplus) ABN 38 150 345 645 of PO Box 537 Bayswater Business Centre Victoria 3153. If the product is faulty, Winplus will either repair or replace the product at their discretion provided the product has been used in accordance with instructions provided.
