[1] Unscrew the bracket from the motion sensor. [2] Determine the desired mounting location and
make the necessary holes. Attach the bracket to the wall.
The standard height for a good detection
range is 3 metres!
See [12-13] for more information about the
range!
[3] Use a screwdriver to firmly press the tab (under
the protection cover) inward. Now push the tab downward to release the sensor cover.
[4] Slide the sensor cover off of the housing.
Attention: There is a seal ring between the cover and the housing. Damage to this part may result in leakage!
3
4
[5] Install 3 batteries. Pay attention to the correct
orientation of the + and – poles (as shown on the inside).
[6] Set the desired code. Follow the instructions in [7 – 9].
The setting is dependent on the type of receiver: [7] doorbell chime, [8] receiver with manual code, or [9] receiver with automatic code.

[7] Linking to doorbell chime: (1) Set “Code” to
“ML”. (2) Set the time switch to the bell symbol. (3) Set the letter selector to the same house code as your doorbell chime.
[8] Linking to receiver with manual code: (1) Set
“Code” to “YC”. (2) Set the switch to the desired "switch off" time. (3) Set the number and letter selectors to the same code as on your receiver.
Set the time switch to the bell symbol to set the "switch off" time to 4 sec. (minimum)!

[9] Linking to receiver with automatic code: (1) Set
“Code” to “YC”. (2) Set the switch to the desired "switch off" time. (3) Push the search mode button on your receiver. (4) Slide “Learn” to “Set” (the receiver switches on and off 2x to confirm).
Continue with [10]!
[9a] Deleting a code from the memory of the
receiver: (1) Push the search mode button on your receiver. (2) Slide “Learn” to “Del” (the receiver switches on and off 2x to confirm).
[10] Make sure the rubber seal ring is positioned
properly. Click the cover onto the housing. Press the protection cover back in place.
Incorrect installation of the seal ring or
installation of a damaged ring can lead to leakage!
[11] Screw the motion sensor to the bracket.
7
8
[12] Tilt the motion sensor (upward or downward) to the desired angle. The motion sensor can be tilted
through a total angle of 202.5 degrees.
The maximum range is 10 metres! The sensor achieves its maximum range at a height of 3 metres and an angle of 22.5 degrees.
[13] Turn the motion sensor to the desired horizontal angle. The motion sensor can be turned through a
total angle of 216 degrees.
However, the horizontal sensor range never exceeds 110 degrees!
9
10
[14] If necessary, move the sensor screens to
adjust the sensor range.
The sensor screens can be reduced in size if
desired!
[15] Press the “Lux” button on the sensor to set the
desired light level.
Example: Press the button at 9:00 p.m. The
sensor is now active and remembers this light
level. When, for example, the same light level is reached at 7:00 a.m., the sensor goes into sleep
mode. When the light level is reached again at 9:00 p.m., the sensor once again becomes active.
Remarks
Reminders
This product must be used in combination with at least one COCO receiver. The wireless system can be expanded indefinitely with other COCO remote controls and/or receivers.
This product is a motion sensor (transmitter) for the wireless control of one or more receiver(s) when the built-in sensor detects motion.
Consider objects such as trees or bushes within the detection range. When moved by wind or birds, the detector will respond to the unintended motion.
This product can be used both with receivers with a manually set house code and those in which the code is set automatically.
This product is splash-water resistant and can be placed outdoors under normal weather conditions as long as the tab (under the protection cover) and the seal ring (between the cover and the housing) are positioned properly.
Be aware that the light level is lower during cloudy or rainy weather. This influences the measured light level.
If the product does not work or does not work properly:
- Check the correct placement and/or function of the batteries (replace if necessary).
- Check step for step whether the concerned receiver is programmed correctly.
- The chance that someone else nearby is using the same house code is extremely small. Nonetheless,
to be sure, set the system to a different house code by repeating [7], [8] or [9].
Safety instructions
Do not expose this product to excessive heat, direct sunlight or moisture.
Remove the batteries from this product if it will not be used for an extended period.
Do not attempt to repair this product. If the product is damaged or if you are in doubt about the proper
operation, take the product back to the place of purchase.
Never use COCO products for life support systems or other applications in which equipment malfunctions can have life-threatening consequences.

Power
When some time has passed, if the concerned receiver no longer responds when the sensor should detect motion, replace the battery.
Use only 1.5 Volt AAA alkaline batteries.
Do not throw the batteries into an open fire.
Respect the local regulations when disposing of batteries.
Wireless
This product works using a radio signal that passes through walls, windows and doors. The range is maximum 75 metres in the open air. The range indoors is strongly influenced by local conditions such as concrete, glass and metals. On average, the indoor range is approximately 30 metres.
New double glass often includes a thin metallic layer. This type of glazing (“HR glass”) allows most
visible light to pass through but has a negative impact on radio signals. If there is HR glass between the transmitter and receiver, you should expect a significant reduction of the range of the wireless signal.
This product operates at a frequency of 433.92 MHz. It complies with the essential requirements and other conditions of R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC and can be used in all EU countries.
There may be restrictions on the use of this device outside the EU. If this device is used outside the EU, check whether the device complies with the local directives.
This product complies with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of the applicable European directives. The Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available at www.coco-technology.com.
