BATTERY OPERATION (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED)
Your unit operates on two (2) AA size alkaline batteries. Open the CD cover and insert the batteries in the battery compartment following the polarity diagram located inside.
RE-CHARGEABLE BATTERY OPERATION (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED)
You can operate this unit with two "AA" rechargeable batteries.
For new or exhausted rechargeable batteries, we recommend that batteries are recharged for 15 hours before use.(Refer to
battery manufacturer's guide)
When operating the unit with AC adapter and non-rechargeable batteries in the compartment, please make sure to set the "charge" switch to "off" position to avoid damaging the unit.
1.Open the CD cover and insert the batteries (2 X "AA" )in the
battery compartment following the polarity diagram located
inside
BOTH BATTERIES MUST BE RECHARGEABLE NiCd TYPES OR THE BATTERIES MAY EXPLODE OR LEAK.
2.Plug in AC adapter and slide the "CHARGE SWITCH" to "ON" position to start charging.

3. Unplug the AC adapter after charging.
DO NOT CHARGE THE BATTERIES MORE THAN 24 HOURS OR MORE THAN RECOMMANED TIME. OVER CHARGINGMAY DETERIORATE THE PERFORMANCE OF THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES.
4.If the operating time decreases drastically after the batteries have been recharged properly, purchase new rechargeable NiCd batteries.
Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries . This may cause leakage and damage to the unit.
Do not mix alkaline batteries with rechargeable batteries. Do not leave the batteries on recharge for long periods of time. This can damage the performance of the cells.
Due to the nature of CD technology, the unit uses power even when the unit is off. To extend the batteries' life, use the adapter for indoor opera-tion or where power is supplied. Use the battery operation only when the unit is in mobile.
DBBS FUNCTION
The Dynamic Bass Boost System(DBBS) enhances the low frequency(Bass) response of the output. Set the Volume to low listening level and press DBBS switch in the direction of the arrow to turn this function ON.
Note: Some CD's with DBBS may exceed the bass response
capacity and can cause distortion. To avoid this, do not play DBBS in high volume. Playing DBBS in high volume may cause damage to the headphone andmore importantly, to your hearing.
HOLD FUNCTION
This HOLD function prevents any unwanted function changes during PLAY or STOP mode. Slide HOLD switch to the arrow direction (or opposite) to turn the function ON (OFF). No other function buttons operate on HOLD mode, except DBB S funct ion button.

To remove the disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out. Hold it carefully by the edges as shown below.
Insert the disc into the unit with the label of the disc facing UP.
Gently wipe the disc using a soft cloth from the center to the outer direction to remove dust, fingerprints or any other particles on thedisc surface. Never use chemicals, such as record sprays , anti-staticsprays, benzene or thinners to clean the CD. These chemicals candamage the disc surface permanently.
To avoid serious scratches on CD, keep them in the cases after each use. Scratches can cause the laser pick-up skip in the future play.
Do not place stickers or write anything on the disc.
Read the instruction manual before operating this unit.
Do not expose the unit to high temperature or humidity. Use dampened soft cloth to clean the unit. Do not use strong detergent or solvent to clean the unit.
Ensure that all electrical connections (including the main plug, extension leads and interconnections between pieces of equipment)are properly made and in accordance with the manufacture's instructions.

(2)LCD screen will display " 15 SEC " .
(3)LCD screen will display " diSC " if CD is not in the unit.

(4)LCD screen will display "Er" if the unit cannot read CD track data.
(5)When CD track data has been read, LCD screen will display the last track number with the total play time.
Press STOP( )button to stop play, and the last track Number will display.
Press PLAY/PAUSE( )button to pause on/off alternately. Time display will flash on pause mode.

(1) Press FF (or REW )button to set the desired track# . Press PLAY/PAUSE button to play. Press FF (or REW ) button to change the track # during the play mode.
(2) During play, press REW button to play previous track.
(3) During pause mode, press FF (or REW ) button to play the next track (or previous track). The unit will keep in pause mode and time display will flash.

During play, press and hold FF (or REW ) button to fast forward (or fast reverse) the current track.
(1) Press MODE button once to repeat one track.
(2) Press MODE button twice to repeat all tracks.
To listen to the first 10 seconds of each track. (1) Press MODE button three times at STOP mode and "INTRO" will display.
(2) Press PLAY/PAUSE ( ) button to starts INTRO from track No.01.
Or
(1) Press MODE button three times during play and "INTRO" will flash.

(2) Press PLAY/PAUSE ( )button to start INTRO play from track No.1.
(3) Press FF button to start INTRO play from next track.
(4) Press REW button to start INTRO play from current or previous track.
(1) Press MODE button four times at STOP mode and "RANDOM" is displayed.
(2) Press PLAY/PAUSE ( ) button to play tracks in random order.
Or
(1) Select RANDOM mode during play and "RANDOM" will start flash.
(2) Press PLAY/PAUSE FF or REW button to play tracks in random order.
(3) To cancel RANDOM mode, press MODE

(1) TO PROGRAM
(a)Press PROG. button and "PROG" and " " will flash.
(b) Press FF (or REW ) button to select the track number.
(c) When desired track is displayed, press PROG. button to set.
(d) Repeat (b)~(c)to set up 20 tracks. The display will show the current set track.
(e) Set tracks can be checked by pressing PROG. button.
(2) TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAMMING AND TO PLAY
Press PLAY/PAUSE ( )button to start the programmed tracks.

(3) TO CLEAR THE PROGRAMMING
Press STOP( )button.
Press ANTI SHOCK button to prevent disruption or stopping of CD player. LCD will display " " at anti-shock mode.
(1) is displayed when the battery voltage reaches low.
(2) When the voltage is too low, the unit will automatically turn off.
