Grounding or Polariza tion: This prod uct may be equipped wi th a polarized alternating­current line plug t hat has one blade wider th an the other. This plug will only t in to the power outlet in one direction. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, tr y reversing t he direction of the plug. I f the plug sh ould still fa il to t, your outlet may be obso lete; cont act a licensed electrician to replace it. Never atte mpt to defeat t he safet y purpose of the po larized plug.
Power-Cor d Protect ion: Care must be taken to ensur e that power supp ly cords are routed so as to avoid being damaged, suc h as by being walked on or pinched by items pl aced upon or agains t them. You should pay par ticular attention to cords at plugs, convenience recep­tacles, and at the p oint where they exit fr om the product.
Protecti ve Atta chment Plug: The product may be equipped w ith an attachment plug with overload prot ection. This is a safet y feature. S ee the ope rating instr uctions fo r replaceme nt or directions to res et the protective device. I f replacement of the plug is required, please consult an authorized s ervice technician, an d make sure s /he has use d a replace ment plug that has the same over load protectio n as the original plu g as specied by the m anufacturer.
Outdoor Antenna Groun ding: If an out side antenna is connected t o the product, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some protectio n against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Articl e 810 of the Nat ional Ele ctrical Code, ANS/NFPA 70 provide s information with regard to proper grounding of t he mast and support ing st ructure, ground­ing of the lead -in wire to an antenna-dis charge uni t, size of groundin g conduc tors, loc ation of antenna-discharge unit, connecti on to groundi ng electrodes, and requir ements for t he grounding elec trode (see gure).
Lightning: Lightning ca n cause power surges, which may damage or d estroy your pro duct. For added protectio n, unplug it from the wall outlet and dis connect the antenna or c able sys­tem during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused for long perio ds of time. Power Lin es: An outside ante nna system should not be located in the vici nity of overhead power lines o r other elec tric light o r power circ uits, or wher e it can f all into such p ower lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extrem e care should be taken to keep from touching su ch power lines or circ uits, as contac t with them might be f atal.

Try resetting the LCD Mode options.
Ensure that all connections are secure and correct, and that the cables are not damaged.
The picture is not full-screen or is stretched wide.
In ATV mode, press LCD MODE to change the aspect ratio settings. In DTV mode, press FORMAT to change the aspect ratio settings.
There is no sound or distor ted sound.
Ensure that the MUTE function is not engaged.
Ensure that the volume level is not too low.
The current channel may not be in reception range. Try repositioning the antenna, or tune to a different channel.
The remote control doesn’t work.
Ensure that the Power Switch has been physically set to the ON position.
Ensure that there are no obstacles between the remote and the player.
Point the remote at the remote sensor on the main unit.
Ensure that the batteries in the remote retain a charge and have been installed correctly.
Try replacing the remote’s batteries.
The player has malfunctioned.
Unplug the unit. After 30 minutes, plug in and power on the player—the restore function should reset the player.

There is no power to the device.
Ensure that the Power Switch on the main unit is physically set to the ON position.
Ensure that the AC adapter cord is securely connected to the player and the proper wall outlet.
There is no picture.
Ensure that the TV set has been powered on and is set to the correct mode (DTV, ATV, or AV).
The current channel may not be in reception range. Try repositioning the antenna, or tune to a different channel.
Ensure that all connections are secure and correct, and that the cables are not damaged.
The picture is noisy or distor ted.
