Insert round connector
of 110 volt adapter.

Plug 110 volt adapter
into electrical outlet.

The CHARGE indicators
light will stay on
STEADY as long as the
radio or battery pack is
being charged.

Once the radio or battery
pack has been fully charged,
the CHARGE indicator light
will blink on and off. It
normally takes about 2 1/2
hours to fully recharge
batteries. Batteries will not be
damaged if they stay in the
charging well longer than
that. The charger is self­adjusting and will not
overcharge the batteries.

If you put your batteries in
the wrong way,the CHARGE
light will not turn on.

Important

Use only Cobra® Nickel Metal
Hydride Battery Pack (NiMH),
model FA-BP with charger
model FA-CJ.

For charging Cobra®’s
microTALK® radio:

Take cavity insert out of the
desktop charger and insert
radio.If charging light is not on,
check position of FRS Radio.
Radio should be upright.

For charging Batteries:

With the arrow on the battery
pointing up, place battery inside
cavity so contacts are touching
the back outside wall.

COBRA® ELECTRONICS CORPORATION warrants that

its COBRA® FA-CJ Battery Charger, and the component
parts thereof, will be free of defects in workmanship
and materials for period of one (1) year from the date
of first consumer purchase.This warranty may be
enforced by the first consumer purchaser,provided
that the product is utilized within the U.S.

COBRA® will,without charge, repair or replace, at its
option, defective FA-CJ battery chargers,produc ts or
component parts upon delivery to the COBRA® Factory
Service Department, accompanied by proof of the date
of first consumer purchase,such as a duplicated copy of
a sales receipt.

You must pay any initial shipping charges required to
ship the product for warranty service, but the return
charges will be at Cobra®'s expense,if the product is
repaired or replaced under warranty.

Exclusions: This limited warranty does not apply;

1) to any product damaged by accident; 2) in the
event of misuse or abuse of the product or as a result
of unauthorized alterations or repairs; 3) if the serial
number has been altered, defaced or removed; 4) if
the owner of the product resides outside the U.S.

All implied warranties,including warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular
purpose are limited in duration to the length
of this warranty.COBRA® shall not be liable for
any incidental, consequential or other damages;
including,without limitation, damages resulting
from loss of use or cost of installation.

Some states do not allow limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not all
ow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages,so the above limitations
may not apply to you.

Your new Cobra® FA-CJ batter y charger, and the
component parts thereof, is covered by a one (1) year
replacement warranty. If any manufacturing defect
becomes apparent in this product within one year from
the original date of purchase, it will be replaced. Please
return the FA-CJ battery charger to your dealer with
original or copy of dated proof of purchase.

This warranty does not cover damages due to careless
handling, negligence,accident, abuse or failure to follow
operating instructions. Alteration of this product or
defacing of the serial number cancels all obligations of
this warranty.This warranty gives you specified legal
rights. Additional warranty rights may be provided by
law in some areas.

Charge d’une radio
microTALK® de Cobra®

Enlever le cache du chargeur de
bureau et insérer le poste de
radio.Si le voyant de charge n’est
pas allumé, vérifier la position du
poste de radio FRS. Le poste doit
être vertical.

Charge d’un bloc-piles

Mettre le bloc-piles, dans le
logement, la flèche vers le haut,
les bornes touchant la paroi
arrière.

Insérer,dans la prise à
l’arrière du chargeur,le
connecteur rond de
l’adaptateur de 110 V ou
de l’adaptateur
d’allume-cigare.

Brancher l’adaptateur
de 110 V dans une prise
de courant ou brancher
l’adaptateur d’allume­cigare dans l’allume­cigare.

Les indicateurs de
CHARGE resteront
allumés tant que le
poste de radio ou le
bloc-piles est en charge.

Quand le poste de radio ou le
bloc-piles est complètement
chargé, le voyant de CHARGE
clignote. Normalement,il
faut environ deux heures et
demie pour complètement
recharger un bloc-piles. Le
bloc-piles n’est pas endom­magé s’il reste dans le
logement de chargement
plus longtemps. Le chargeur
est auto-régleur et ne peut
pas surcharger le bloc-piles.

Cada receptáculo de carga
puede cargar un radio o un
paquete de pilas NiMH
Cobra® modelo FA-BP.

Utiliza un adaptador de
110 V para uso bajo techo.

Nota

El indicador de CARGA no se
ilumina si coloca las pilas en
posición incorrecta.

Importante

Utilice únicamente el
paquete de pilas de níquel­hidruro metálico (NiMH)
Cobra® modelo FA-BP con el
cargador modelo FA-CJ.

Para cargar el radio Cobra®
microTALK®:

Quite la tapa de la cavidad del
cargador de escritorio y coloque
el radio en la cavidad.Revise la
posición del radio FRS si el
indicador de carga no se ilumina.
El radio debe estar en posición
vertical.

Para cargar el paquete de pilas:

Con la flecha del paquete de pilas
apuntando hacia arriba, coloque
el paquete de pilas en la cavidad
de manera que los contactos
toquen la pared posterior.

Inserte el conector
redondo del adaptador
de 110 V o del adaptador
para encendedor de
cigarrillos en el
receptáculo de la parte
trasera del cargador.

Conecte el adaptador de
110 V a la toma eléctrica
o introduzca el
adaptador para
encendedor de cigarrillos
en el encendedor de
cigarrillos del vehículo.

Los indicadores de
CARGA se mantienen
iluminados, SIN
PARPADEAR,mientras se
está cargando el radio o
el paquete de pilas.

El indicador de carga
comienza a parpadear una
vez que el radio o el paquete
de pilas está completamente
cargado. Normalmente se
requieren 2 horas y media
para cargar las pilas por
completo.Las pilas no se
dañarán si permanecen más
tiempo en la cavidad de
carga. El cargador se ajusta
en forma automática y no
carga las pilas excesivamente.
