Installing your new “Bump-n-Roll”
1. Remove the Torx T40 screws from the lower front bead loosener pad on your 5030, 5050, 5060, or 6060 tire changer and remove the bead loosener pad.
NOTE: Clean off any dirt and/or debris that may have accumulated around the bead loosener pad so that the Bump-n-Roll assembly has an even surface for mounting.
2. Place the Bump-n-Roll assembly on the floor next to your COATS tire changer and line up the holes in the Bump-n-Roll assembly with the screw holes in the side of the tire changer where the bead loosener pad was removed. On 5030 machines, line up two (2) holes at front of the Bump-n-Roll assembly and install the extension plate under the upper flange of the Bump-n-Roll assembly with the two (2) 1/420 screws supplied. (See Parts Listing)
3. Replace the bead loosener pad (over the Bump-n-Roll bracket) with the four (4) new screws supplied with the Bump-n-Roll accessory. You are now ready to “Bump-nRoll”. (Discard excess hardware)

Using your new “Bump-n-Roll”
Parts List — “Bump-n-Roll”
With the new Bump-n-Roll, encountering a stubborn bead will be an easier process. When the bead is loosened the first time (with the valve stem at the 2 o’clock position) and the user finds it is necessary to loosen the bead at another location; hold the bead loosener shoe away from the tire with one hand and then roll the tire forward with adequate force into the Bump-n-Roll apparatus and the tire will spin to an alternate location for additional bead loosening.
In the past when a stubborn bead was encountered, the user had to roll the tire back away from the bead
loosener , release the bead loosener handle, pick up the tire and spin it the desired amount, grab the bead loosener handle, open it to the desired width, and roll the tire back into the bead loosening area.
When servicing tires on wheels which have the old
style strap-on pressure sensors; take care not to damage the sensor. Sensor is located directly opposite the valve stem.
