POLYSTEEL 400 INSTRUCTIONS:
BATT ERY INS TALLATI ON:
Turn the tail ca p in a counterclock wise direction to r emove the cap.
Remove the battery cartridge.
Place four A AA batter ies into the c artri dge in the dire ction indi cated in
the center of the cartridge.
Replace th e cartridge in the li ght in the direction in dicated by the arro w
on the car tridge.
Replace th e tail cap an d turn it clo ckwise to t ighten it un til it is com pletely closed.
Note: The P OLYSTEE L 400 in clam pac k packaging comes w ith batter ies
pre-installed.
QUICK CYCLE SWITCH OPERATION:
This flash light is equipped with C OAST’s Quick-C ycle Switch, featur ing
high, medium a nd low beams.
To activate th e high mode from the of f position, press t he on/off switch
until it clic ks once, then relea ses. Press the o n/off switch u ntil it clicks a
second tim e to turn off the ligh t.
To activate th e medium mode, p ress the on /off sw itch until i t clicks a
third time, t hen releas e. Press t he on/of f switch un til it clicks a f ourth
time to turn o ff the light.
To activate th e low mode, pre ss the on /off swi tch until it c licks a fif th
time, then re lease. Pre ss the on /off swi tch until it cl icks a six th time
to turn of f the light.
The light can also be operated in “momentary” mode. Momentary mode
is activat ed by part ially depr essing the o n/off s witch (le ss press ure
than requir ed for a full click). The m omentary switc h will cycle the light
through th e high and low beam mode s.
Any time the l ight is turn ed off fo r more than fi ve seconds , the high/
medium/ low cycle will reset, and t he high beam will be activ ated when
the light is t urned back on.
PURE BE AM FOCUSING OP TIC:
This flash light is equipped wi th COAST’s Pu re Beam Focusing O ptic that
allows the u ser to choo se betwee n a broad flo od beam and a fo cused
Bulls-Ey e Spot beam for long dis tance illuminati on.
To adjust the bea m into the Bu lls-Eye Sp ot mode, tur n the fron t bezel
of the light cl ockwise.
To change the bea m into the flood light m ode, turn the fron t bezel of the
light counterclockwise.

The POLYS TEE L 400 is ra ted IPX 8 and submer sible to 3 mete rs for 6
hours. Wi pe the exte rnal body w ith a cloth m oistene d with wate r or
isopropyl.
