Instructions for COAST A9R Rechargeable Pen Light

BATTERY INSTALLATION: The Lithium Polymer rechargeable battery has not been factory installed in

your new A9R. To install the battery, unscrew (counter clockwise) and remove the head of the light.
Carefully plug the battery end with alignment tabs into the pin side of the lights head, taking care to
align the pins with the connection on the battery. Replace the flashlight body and tighten (clockwise).

Note: The alignment tabs on the battery allow installation in two different orientations. As long as the
connection pins are aligned, it can be installed either way. Never force your battery into the connection
pins.

CHARGING: To charge your A9R, simply slip the Pro Flex Charging Cap over the head of the and attach
to power. When the light is fully inserted, the charging indication light on the Charging Cap will glow.
Red indicates the light is charging; Green indicates the light is fully charged. The A9R can be charged
using AC, DC or USB power. To use the AC or DC adaptor, plug the USB connector into the desired
power adaptor. To charge using USB, simply plug directly into a USB port. Prior to first use, charge the
battery inside the A9R until the indicator light on the Pro Flex Charging Cap turns GREEN. The A9R
features overcharge protection and it is not necessary to disconnect from power when fully charged.

CAUTION: Charge the battery INSIDE the A9R only. Use only the proprietary battery that is included in
your A9R. Do not attempt to replace the battery with aftermarket batteries. Do not dispose of in fire or
short circuit the battery.

LIGHT ACTIVATION: To turn the light on, fully press and release the power switch at the end of the
light, opposite the LED. To turn the light off, fully press and release the power switch a second time.
The light can be operated in momentary mode by partially depressing the switch.

MAINTENANCE: Wipe the external body with a damp cloth. Do not submerge. The rechargeable
battery can be re-charged up to 500 times before a noticeable decline in performance. To purchase
