THE TOTE CLIPPER VAC®
The Tote Clipper Vac® is a portable, one operator unit designed to be placed on a table or shelf, not on the oor.
The Tote Clipper Vac® holds 6 gallons of hair; however, empty as oen as necessary. Do not suocate your motor by improper emptying of the unit.
The main regulator is on the clipper heads.
The Tote Clipper Vac® is designed for years of use with the proper care.
Operational and Safety
Guidelines
¨ Do not operate the Clipper Vac® with a crushed vacuum hose. This will restrict airow to
your motor and cause it to over heat, causing the motor to prematurely fail.
¨ Do not operate in areas where ammable vapors are present.
¨ Never spray cool lube into blades while Clipper Vac® is connected.
¨ Do not remove upper door without rst disconnecng the electrical supply.
¨ Never work on the electrical components without rst disconnecng the electrical supply.
¨ Do not vacuum wet or damp materials.
¨ Do not vacuum excessive dirt and debris.
¨ Never run your Clipper Vac® without the lter on.

Maintaining Your Clipper Vac®
Your Clipper Vac® can be easily maintained and have a long lasng life using these simple tasks:
1. We recommend replacing your lter every 8-12 months. This does not require dismantling
the motor. DO NOT REMOVE THE FILTER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO CHANGE IT! See instructions on page 6.
2. Replace the motor brushes aer approximately 1 to 1½ years, 1000 hours of use, or when the motor fails.
3. Keep the hair storage box clean; do not overll.
4. Each clipper attachment is different. Please follow the instructions that were furnished with attachment.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM: Unit will not start.
POSSIBLE CAUSE: SOLUTION:
1. power supply

Brush Changing Procedures
To remove the used brush:
Loosen the two screws holding the brush clamp enough to allow the brush to lift upward and slide out.
Note: It is not necessary to completely remove the screws.
To install the new brush:
Slide the new brush in with the pin facing downward. The brush should
lock into place. The pin should be inside the slot on the motor housing. Tighten both screws - be careful not to over tighten.
Repeat procedure for other brush.
Test run motor before replacing the top on the unit
The new brushes may spark more than normal until they wear in.
Filter Changing Procedure
Never operate the Clipper VAC® without the lter on the motor. When ordering lters, be sure to specify that your lter is held in place by a nut.
1. Unplug the Clipper Vac system.
2. Open the lower compartment.
3. Remove the wing nut under filter.
4. Pull lter downward and remove.
5. Clean area where lter contacts the motor.
6. Install new lter and replace the nut. Make sure the filter is pressed tightly against the shelf or hair will enter the motor. Do not over tighten the nut.
7. Tighten the wing nut.
Filters are designed especially for Clipper VAC® and may be purchased from M.D.C. Romani, Inc.

Warranty
The
Clipper VAC®
vacuum is a heavy duty cleaning machine of superior quality. It has been carefully inspected and tested before shipment and
is
covered by our warranty for one year to correct any defects caused by faulty material or workmanship. Naturally, we assume n
o responsibility for damage
caused by misuse, careless handling or unauthorized service. No other guarantee, written or verbal is authorized by us.
FREIGHT POLICY:
All shipments are F.O.B., Indiana, PA 15701.
GENERAL PRICING POLICIES:
1. Prices are subject to change without notice.
2. We reserve the right to quote and sell direct to Government Agencies, O.E.M. using
Clipper VAC®
equipment as part of their product
and certain selected national accounts not normally ser
ved by distributors.
RETURNED GOODS POLICY:
1. Authority for return must be obtained in writing from M.D.C. Romani, Inc.
2. Transportation charges must be prepaid.
3. Items to be returned must be currently catalogued models. Returned goods will be p
rocessed in the following manner:
A. Warranty Returns
1. Returns for credit or repair: Units which are found to be defective will be repaired at no charge except labor and
returned freight prepaid to the customer or credit will be iss
ued as appropriate.
B. Non
-Warranty Returns:
The warranty is not applicable for units which have extended the warranty period or, in the judgement of
M.D.C.
Romani, Inc.
have been damaged from abuse and/or misuse.
1. Returns
for credit: Goods authorized for return are subject to a 20% restocking charge when the condition of the
goods permits inspection, testing and replacement to finished stock. Charges for restocking units will either be
scrapped or returned freight collect at the customer’s discretion. No credit will be allowed.
2. Returns for repair: Repairs or recondition are subject to standard repair charges. Minimum charge is $10.00.
