This safety barrier conforms to EN 1930:2011 when fitted according to these instructions between two clean, structurally sound surfaces. This safety barrier is designed for children up to 24 months. This safety barrier is for domestic use only. Manual closure system. Suitable for fixing across door openings and at the top and bottom of stairways. Make sure that you use the appropriate type of fixings depending on the surface available; wood screws for wooden surfaces, multiple usage dowels and concrete screws for concrete surfaces, multiple usage dowels and cement screws for cement surfaces and metal screws for metal surfaces. If the gate has been exposed to an accident, it must not be used again. Do not allow older children to climb over this gate as this may pose a danger.

WARNING: The safety barrier must not be fitted across windows. WARNING: Stop using the barrier if the child is capable of climbing over it.
Pre-Installation Advice

components are damaged or missing
The surfaces which the gate rests on should be completely flat and should be a minimum of 5cm wide.
WARNING - INCORRECT FITTING OR POSITIONING OF THIS SAFETY BARRIER CAN BE DANGEROUS
The gate must be fitted in a structurally solid opening, free of dirt and grease.
The position of the safety barrier in relation to the stairs may have an adverse affect on your child’s safety:
- If the barrier is used at the top of the stairs to prevent your child from falling down the stairs, it must not be placed on any stair below the level of the top stair.
- If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs to prevent your child from climbing up the stairs, it must be placed on the lowest stair.
This product requires the purchase of appropriate fixing aids suitable for the surface to which the wall cups and/or hinges are to be fitted.

This gate is suitable for openings between
69.5cm (27½in.) and 106.5cm (42in.) wide.
1. Measure the width of the opening you wish to place the gate in.
2. Adjust the two gate sections to one of the five positions shown, according to the size of the
opening you intend to fit the gate in. Align the holes on both gate sections. Secure the gate panels together by fastening 2 ‘B’ screws into 2 ‘A’ screws on the top and bottom of the gate as shown in the diagram. Do not attempt to fasten the gate panels with less than 4 screws and make sure that the flat sides of the gate panels are facing each other.
4. Attach the pedal ‘F’ to the centre of the gate using the two screws ‘G’ provided. Use the correct holes, depending on the width of the opening, as in Step 1.

3. Insert the 4 spindles ‘D’ and nuts ‘E’ into the holes provided on the four corners of the gate. Make sure that the spindles are inserted the same distance into the gate on each side.
5. The surfaces which the gate rests on should be completely flat and should be a minimum of 5cm wide. Mark the positions for the wall cups ‘C’ on one wall surface. The top hole for the lower wall cup should be 89mm from the floor. The top hole for the upper wall cup should be 756mm from the floor.
