HANDLING, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
PACKAGING
The units are placed on pallets and covered by cardboard
packaging;
the protective packaging must remain intact until installation.
A second unit from the same series, either the same size or
smaller, can be stacked on top.
Accessories or additional equipment not assembled on the
unit for technical reasons (for example, to avoid damage to
protruding parts) are supplied with their own packaging and
attached (depending on the volume) to the outside or inside
of the unit.
Dispose of the packaging material in accordance with local
regulations and in such a way as not damage the unit or
harm the environment.
HANDLING
Comply with local regulations regarding safety systems and
safe working procedures when handling the unit.
Use personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety
glasses, hard hats, etc. when handling the unit, so as to
avoid the risk of injury.
To lift the unit, use a manual pallet trolley or fork lift, inserting
the forks into the pallet.
The weight of the unit is specified in this manual.
Avoid uncontrolled spinning when moving the unit.
Check the weight of the unit before handling.
Handle the packaged unit with care and avoid knocks and
bumps;
these may damage functional parts of the appliance.
To ensure the safety of people and objects, carefully read
the instructions affixed to the outside of the packaging.
Also make sure that:
• the unit has been correctly delivered to the installation site
or place of storage
• no objects or tools are stacked on top of the packaged unit
Before positioning the unit, take into account the overall
dimensions and required clearances, so as to simplify the
electrical, air and water connections to the unit and allow easy
access.
Failure to heed these warnings may cause a decline in
unit performance and reduce its working life, meaning an
increase in running and maintenance costs.
The unit has been designed to be installed indoors or out-
doors (using the weather canopy available), and secured to
specific support structures.
Before installing the unit, make sure that:
• the place of installation is accessible and safe
• the support structure is able to withstand the weight of the
unit (see the previous chapter)
• the support points are aligned and level with one another
• the place of installation is not at risk of flooding
• the outside air intake and exhaust outlet are free and not
blocked (for example, by snow, leaves, etc.)
INSPECTION ON DELIVERY
On receiving the unit, it should be carefully checked to
ensure it is fully intact.
Any damage found must be reported to the carrier, accepting the goods with reservation on the delivery documents.
STORAGE
If the delivered unit is not to be installed immediately but
rather kept in storage, it must be stored in its original packaging in a dry place, away from sources of heat and protected from wind, sand and water.
The following minimum storage requirements must be
observed:
• do not stack the units, including different types
• allowable storage temperatures: -20°C to +60°C.
The manufacturer declines all liability for damage due
to incorrect storage of the unit.
