Quick-start User Guide:
1. Switch on the AVID3BT Amplifier via the Power Switch ( ) of either the main unit or the IR remote
control. To turn the main unit ON - Short press Switch input, OFF - Press Hold ON/OFF Button.
2. Ensure the volume level of the AVID3BT is set to 0 using the volume controls on the main unit
or IR remote control .
3. Connect your media player/sound source either via Bluetooth or via wired connection
(eg. CD, DVD, MP3, laptop, etc) from its line level output or headphone output into the AVID3BT’s
2x Stereo Phono inputs or the 3.5mm Jack input.
(Connecting cables are commonly available or may have been supplied as part of your
system by the installer).
4. Set the volume level on your media player to approximately half way and press PLAY. (NB. Not all
media players will feature their own volume control).
5. Using the volume level controls (of either the AVID3BT main unit or IR remote control), increase
the volume level of the AVID3BT amplifier to a clear and comfortable level for your audience.
(Maximum Volume Level = 20).
6. NOTE: If the volume level is still too low, further increase the volume level of the media player;
or where the audio signal is from a headphone output (which normally gives a lower signal
level), switch the Input Level Switch on the main AVID3BT unit to ‘Lo’.

Additional features of the AVID3BT Amplifier:
Introduction:
The Clever Little Box ‘AVID3BT’ is a simple and highly compact, yet powerful Stereo Amplifier, installed
to provide sound reinforcement for voice and/or music reinforcement in your classroom/boardroom.
A wide range of auxiliary audio visual devices (such as CD, DVD, MP3, laptop, video, etc) can be interfaced
with the AVID3BT Amplifier to provide sound reproduction throughout the whole room, ensuring the
whole class/audience hears the sound source clearly.
Additional Features of the AVID3BT Amplifier:
• Bluetooth Connectivity:
The AVID3BT incorporates a Bluetooth Receiver Module, allowing wireless connected audio playback
via devices enabled with Bluetooth version 2.1 via A2DP profile such as, laptops smartphones, tablets,
iPods, etc...
A blue LED on the front panel provides a visual indication of Bluetooth function as follows:
Blink = Pairing mode
Solid = Connected
If multiple units are to be used within a single location such as a school or in the home, each unit is
supplied with a unique I.D to identify which AVID3BT to connect to, once selected the pairing code is
used to pair your transmitter. The Bluetooth signal will operate within a range of approx 10m
depending on the environment in which the AVID3BT is to be installed.
• Audio Signal Inputs:
There are two dierent ‘Line’ inputs on the front faceplate of the AVID3BT Amplifier:
- 2 x Stereo Phono inputs
- 1 x 3.5mm Stereo Jack input
Both are standard connectors and linking cables from your audio device (CD, MP3, etc) are commonly
available.
• ‘Hard-wired’ Audio Signal Input:
An additional audio signal may have been ‘hard-wired’ (permanently connected) to the rear
connections of your AVID3BT amplifier (for example, if a TV, DVD player or computer is a permanent
fixture in the room).
This audio input is wired in parallel with the 3.5mm Jack input on the front of your AVID3BT main unit.
Therefore, if the hard-wired source is playing at the same time as the plugged-in source, both signals
will give a ‘mixed’ output (i.e. will play at the same time, with a jumbled eect). This is easily rectified
by stopping, pausing or switching o one of the two connected media players.

Additional features of the AVID3BT Amplifier:
• Hi/Lo Line Level Sensitivity Switch:
The level of the output signal from dierent media players (eg. CD, DVD, MP3, laptop, etc) may vary
quite significantly and, where the player’s output is only available from the headphone output
(marked ‘ ’), it will normally be quite low.
The AVID3BT, therefore, features a ‘Line Level Sensitivity Switch’ with Hi and Lo settings.
At full line level, the switch should be set to Hi.
A lower output signal (such as headphone) should be set to Lo which will increase the volume level
output from the AVID3BT.
NOTE: If the Switch is set to Lo when a full line level signal is run through the AVID3BT, the volume
will be too high, resulting in a distorted sound. Should this occur, the Sensitivity Switch should be
immediately set to Hi.
• Tone Control:
The AVID3BT’s IR remote control also features Bass and Treble control to set the sound to your
preferred listening or to the requirements of the reproduced sound (eg. some music may require
increased bass level; whereas voice recordings may benefit from decreased bass and increased treble
levels).
In most instances, however, Bass should be set to L.5 and Treble to H.5 (Level settings appear on the
main unit’s Audio Level Display when adjustments are made from the remote).
• L & R Balance:
The AVID3BT’s IR remote control features Le & Right Loudspeaker Balance, allowing the volume
level of each speaker to be increased or decreased according to the requirements of the room layout
or audience position.
In most cases, however, these settings should be le alone (set at B.5).
• Loudness Function:
This is a ‘Bass Boost’ function only avaliable on AVID v1.
This function of the IR remote is not enabled on this AVID3BT Amplifier model, but does not aect
remote volume control which is still fully functional.
