Unlock the ClearCrypt key
Step
Indication
1. Press Power key to enable Battery mode or connect the key into a computer
will be on Blue
2. Press the Key button
3. Accepting user PIN (The default Admin PIN is 111111)
will be on Blue and will blink Green
4. Input User PIN
will blink Blue
5. Press the Key button
OFF will blink Green 1
time
6. Once the correct PIN is accepted the ClearCrypt Flash will be unlocked
OFF will be on Green
Lock the ClearCrypt key

Format ClearCrypt Secure Flash
After you have created a new PIN you will need to format the device.
1. Right-click My Computer and then click Manage from the Windows desktop.
2. In the Computer Manage window, click Disk Management.
3. Right-click Removable Raw drive, in the blank area under the unallocated section, and then select Format.
4. The Format window opens and Select FAT32 of NFTS depending on your requirements and click OK

Change PIN Code
To create your new PIN be sure to follow the instructions below: Please Note: A PIN can be from 6-32 digits long.
ClearCrypt Secure Flash can have an admin PIN and a user PIN.
1. Admin-PIN- Supports read & write Default PIN: 111111.
2. User-PIN- Supports read only. Default PIN: 222222.
Note: If a mistake is made when inputting the PIN, please repeat the PIN Change process.

9. To Create User PIN input the User new PIN (Read Only User)

10. Press the Key button to confirm the new User PIN

12. Press the Key button to complete the User PIN

Reset the ClearCrypt Flash
If you forget your PIN or if you would like to delete all data stored on the ClearCrypt Flash and create a new PIN please follow the instruction below.
Please Note: The reset process will remove your PIN and remove all data. Please backup your data before you proceed. A new user PIN will have to be created in order to re-enable the flash. The ClearCrypt Flash will also have to be reformatted.

1. Press Power key (Battery mode) or connect the key into the computer
will be on Blue
2. Press and hold the Key button And press the number 9 button for 10 seconds
OFF will blink Green
3. Press the number 0 button to reset the ClearCrypt key. Note: PIN codes will change back to default. (Admin default PIN is 111111) (User default PIN is 222222)
& will blink together for 1 second and will then turn off.
4. Unplug the key, and re-connect the key into the computer. Repeat Change PIN process to reset your personal PIN.
WARNING: In any case the wrong PIN code is entered 5 times in a row all data will be erased. Please do not forget your PIN code.

FAQs
Q: If the PIN is forgotten, what happens to the data on the ClearCrypt
Secure Flash?
A: If you forget the PIN, there is no way of gaining access to the data stored on the device. You must completely reset the CLEARCRYPT device. When reset all data stored on the device will be erased. When the CLEARCRYPT is reset the following occurs:
All the data on the device is erased. The CLEARCRYPT device will need to be initialized and formatted. A new Admin & User PIN will need to be set.
Q: If battery is depleted, how can I unlock the Secure Flash?
A: If battery is depleted, you can connect the flash to a powered USB. The flash will charge automatically and the battery will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge, you can also access the device by unlocking it while it is connected to a computer.
Q: What file system should I choose to format my ClearCrypt key?
This will depend on how you want to use the drive but in general, we recommend following:
EXFAT for Linux NTFS for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) for Mac OS X FAT32 to use it across different platforms like Windows,
Mac and Linux (single file size for FAT32 is limited to 4GB)
