Introduction
The VoiceAnnounce 2025T corded speakerphone supports advanced communications features for convenience, security, and
improved access to today’s popular telephone network services.
VoiceAnnounce
VoiceAnnounce caller ID lets you know who’s calling without you
having to run to the phone. The caller’s identity is announced over
the built-in speaker for incoming calls, and over the speaker or
handset for call waiting calls. You can adjust the volume of the
announcement and/or disable the announcement (see the section
on setting up your personal preferences).
Call Management Options (Call Waiting Deluxe)
The call management options put you in charge of your calls. You
can send the waiting caller a message asking them to hold, add the
incoming caller into your conversation, drop the existing call and
answer the new call, or send the call to voice mail.
Hands-Free Speakerphone
T alk while you do other things or let others participate in the call - all
with the push of a button. You can MUTE the microphone if you
just want to listen to the call.

Important Safety Instructions
When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury
to persons, including the following:
1. Read and understand all instructions.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product.
3. Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not
use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners; use a damp cloth for
cleaning.
4. Do not use this product near water for example, near a bath tub,
wash bowl, kitchen sink, or swimming pool, or in a wet basement.
5. Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand or table, as
the product may fall, causing serious damage to the product.
6. Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or bottom of this
product are provided for ventilation (to protect it from overheating) and should not be blocked or covered. The openings should
never be blocked by placing this product on a bed, sofa, rug or
other similar surface. This product should never be placed near
or over a radiator or heat register. This product should never be
placed in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.
7. This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the
type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local
power company.
8. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not place this
product where the cord will be abused by people walking on it.

9. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords, as this can
result in the risk of fire or electric shock.
10. Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet
slots, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out
parts, resulting in the risk of fire or electric shock. Never spill
liquid of any kind on the product.
1 1. T o reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this prod-
uct, but take it to a qualified serviceman, when service or repair
work is required. Opening or removing covers may expose you
to dangerous voltage or other risks. Incorrect reassembly can
cause electric shock when this product is subsequently used.
12. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to a
qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) when
the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed; b) if liquid
has spilled into the product; c) if the product has been exposed to
rain or water; d) if the product does not operate normally when
you follow the operating instructions (adjust only those controls
that are discussed in the operating instructions, as improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage, often requiring
extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to
normal performance); e) if the product has been dropped or the
cabinet has been damaged; f) if the product exhibits a distinct
change in performance.
13. Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type) during an
electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of electric shock
from lightning.
14. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the
leak.

Installation and Setup
Check the Package Contents
Check the package contents to make sure you have the following items:
Handset, Desk/Wall stand, and power adapter .
The VA2025T does not take any batteries, but requires use of the
included power adapter.
When there is a power outage, the product’s memory (including
settings and caller ID information) is saved, however only the
basic telephone functions will operate.
Connecting the Telephone
The VA2025T has an integrated telephone and power cord, making it easy to install and operate without getting tangled in lots of
wires.
1. Plug the telephone cord into the telephone jack on your wall,
or into the TELEPHONE port on the back of your answering
machine.
2. Plug the power adapter into a 120V wall outlet and the power
connector into the jack on the end of the integrated telephone/
power cord. Please make sure the outlet is not controlled by a
wall switch, as this could cause your phone to not work properly.
3. Press the T ALK key and listen to the handset to make sure you
hear a dialtone. Press the END key to hang-up.
