Safety

• The iron may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.

• Never let children play with theproduct.

• Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under
adultsupervision.

• Never leave theiron unattended when it is plugged into thewall socket.

• Unplug theiron before filling thewatertank.

• Only use theiron on astable surface.

• When not in use, place theiron on astable surface.

• Never use theiron if you have dropped it on thefloor, or if there is any visible
damage or leakage.

• If themains lead is damaged it may only be replaced by themanufacturer, retailer
or other qualified person to avoid any danger.

• Remember that theiron becomes extremely hot during use. Lettheiron cool off
completely before putting it away for storage.

• The iron should be kept out of reach of children under theage of 8 when it is in
use or while it is cooling down.

Before initial use

The first few times the iron is used, a harmless odour and smoke may be given off.
This is completely normal and is only temporary. Test the iron for the first time on an
old piece of cotton cloth to check that both the soleplate and the water tank are clean.

Use

Refilling

Warning!

Be careful when refilling the iron. It can be very hot after use.

1. Unplug the product from the wall socket.

2. Open the water tank cover (11) and tilt the iron so that the max level
can be read correctly.

3. Only use distilled water to refill the water tank.

4. Fill the tank to the max level and close the cover securely.

Setting the temperature

Check the fabric care instructions on the piece of clothing and select a suitable
temperature. The dots on the temperature control signify the following:

• Synthetic material such as acrylic and nylon.

•• Wool, silk and synthetic fabrics such as polyester and rayon.

••• Material that withstands high temperatures, such as cotton or linen.

Dry ironing

1. Plug the iron into an earthed wall socket. The indicator light on the handle
should be lit.

2. Set the desired temperature. The indicator light will be on while the iron heats up
to the set operating temperature. When the light turns off, the iron has reached the
set operating temperature. If the temperature drops below the set temperature the
iron will begin reheating and the indicator light will turn on again.

Steam ironing

Set the steam control to to turn the steam function on.

= Steam function off.

As soon as the iron is horizontal, it will produce steam and you can begin steam ironing.
Note: If the iron starts dripping water the temperature is probably set too low or the
steam control is set too high. Adjust either the temperature or the steam setting.

Steam spray feature

The steam spray feature can be used for both dry ironing and steam ironing. However,
the temperature must be set on high. Using the steam spray feature helps you elimi­nate wrinkles effectively.

1. Hold the iron over the piece of clothing.

2. Press the steam button (max. 2 seconds) until the steam begins flowing through
the holes of the soleplate.

3. Let go of the steam button.

Water spray feature

The water spray feature is available whenever you want, independent of iron tempera­ture or steam level. Place the iron so that the nozzle points in the desired direction and
press the spray button .

After use

The iron is very hot directly after use. Remember to let it cool off completely before
storing it.

1. Slide the steam control to OFF.

2. Set the temperature control to OFF.

3. Unplug the product from the wall socket.

4. Open the water tank refill cover and empty the water tank. Press the spray
button a few times to make sure the tank is completely empty.

Care and maintenance

Note: Unplug the iron from the wall socket before cleaning.

Wipe the exterior with a moist, soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product. If you are unsure of how to
dispose of this product, please contact your local authority.

annan kvalificerad personal för att undvika fara.

• Tänk på att strykjärnet blir mycket varmt under användning. Låtstrykjärnet svalna
ordentligt innan du stoppar undan det för förvaring.

• Förvaras utom räckhåll för barn yngre än 8 år när apparaten är ianvändning eller
håller på att svalna.

Före första användning

Första gången du använder strykjärnet kan det ryka lite och/eller avge lukt. Det är helt
normalt och upphör inom kort. Provstryk första gången på ett gammalt bomullstyg för
att kontrollera att sulan och vattenbehållaren är rena.
